Do NOT stay at this Motel! If it hadn't been so cold, I would have slept in the car. The only things that were clean were the sheets and the towels. Our group had 3 rooms; we were stuck because all other places were sold out months ago for graduation weekend.
Only one room had a working smoke detector, which had been taken off the wall and put on the shelf in the open closet, which had no hangers. The detector, like everything else, was filthy.
These supposed non-smoking rooms reeked of smoke. Stuffing was falling out of chairs, mattresses were on wood platforms, hard water stains abounded in tub, sink and toilet. Small ants lived in one bathroom, another had a leaking tub and another's thermostat had been ripped off the wall leaving exposed bare wires. The heat didn't work. Some beds had blankets; some did not. A magazine placed on a dresser STUCK there.
Ammenities one is so accustomed to, like a notepad and pencil, a phonebook, a bible...were all missing. Horrid. |
