| Horrible Staff,Dirty and Disgusting! |
This hotel is the worst in all of New York State. Staffing is horrible, very dirty rooms (even when you have asked for them to be cleaned), broken appliances and spiderwebs everywhere. I can't believe the price i payed for this garbadge. Whatever you do, Stay away From Christophers Country Lodge In Oneonta, New York. And by the way, The Holiday Inn just down the road seemed klke a very nice hotel. |

| Avoid this place!! |
Worst customer service ever and very dirty...you'd be better off staying at one of the chains if you're going to be in Oneonta. It appears this place is being run by irresponsible teenagers that hang out in the rooms and watch t.v. when vacant. Upon arrival, our room was dirty (unmade bed, dirty towels, garbage-filled wastebaskets, etc.). They gave us a new room. So many things wrong with it. The following day, housekeeping never came after 6 hours of being out of the room with the service sign on our doorknob. We had to request cleaning service. No clean towels left. New towels took over an hour to arrive, at which point my boyfriend went to the office to get them himself. Upon checkout, we requested manager's contact information. He never returned my phone call. Avoid staying here! |

| No Stars at Best! |
We booked Christophers 8 mos. in advance to be close to the Cooperstown All star village. We had to pay 1/2 at time of booking to hold our room - $641.00. Upon arrival - we had to initial a contract and pay remaining balance in advance - even before viewing the room. BIG MISTAKE ON OUR PART! Two dble. beds for 5 people. I brought a sleeping bag for our youngest. Two broken lamps, poor overhead lighting, dirty rugs. We immediately complained, they fixed the lamps. We were told to speak with the person we booked with (Pam) in the morning. We waited 2 hours, checking in at the front desk each 1/2 hour - Pam never rec'd our messages. When we did reach her, we were given a slightly bigger room. Now we DON'T receive soap, shampoo, a cleaned coffee pot, no fresh towels and unvacuumed rugs. It gets better...We complained about housekeeping daily and found out our neighbors underneath also had the same complaints. Yes the lodge is countrylike, but do we have to live with the spider... | Horrible Service and dirty |
This hotel was the worst i have ever stayed in. The rooms were never cleaned, fresh towels and soap weren't given unless asked for and coffee from the previous guest was still in the pot.I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone. |
