| What a dump |
|
What a dump! Was forced to stay here due the late hour. Decent exterior and lobby deceives you into expecting a nice room. Wrong!! Very old room in terrible need of updating. Drafty windows and door together with noisy window heater that had to be set at 85 degrees to keep it warm. Kept us up late into the night. Poor TV and reception. Complained to Choice hotels (the franchise) but they could care less. Stay away! |

In Dec. of 2004 we stayed at the Clarion in Newburgh, NY because it was getting late and we had been driving for a long time. The lobby was nice but once you go to the room what a dump! It was in dire need of upgrading, it looks like it has been untouched since the 60's or 70's. It was cold and drafty, we had the set the thermostat to 85 degrees just to keep warm. In turn the blower kept us up because it was so noisy. The beds were terrible. The AAA should be ashamed, at the time they rated it 3*** but have subsequently reduced that to 2** (generous in my opinion). I complained to Choice Hotels, the owner of that chain and several others, but basically their response was , so sorry you were dissatisfied. I never got the impression that that chain was too interested in their customers concerns. Stay away. |

| Very Disappointed |
|
Hotel accommodations were poor at best. Room had dirty towels hanging on bathroom door, from time we arrived to check out. Table and desk were sticky, room had odd odour. |
