| This was the worst place I have ever stayed and like everyone else here I felt tricked after booking online.
The double bed was not standard double size, it was only king single which is tough when you're sharing, it's the middle of summer and there's only a very inefficient window fan. The rooms are too small even if you're only there to sleep. The light took literally 10 minutes to come on after flicking the switch. I didn't even know this was possible. The bathroom was also revolting. I've stayed in other accommodation with shared bathroom and there's been no problem, but the other guests were slobs too. We had to use a different floor's shower one morning as there was such an enormous hairball in the plughole, we would have been dirtier when we got out then when we went in. There was no toilet paper all day so everyone used paper towel which resulted in a clogged toilet. Some menstrating slob left her blood all over the floor and the toilet seat.
We were thankfully only there for a couple of nights (they will not refund for early checkout- since we paid in advance we were screwed)but our nights at the West Side Inn did detract from our time in New York. I wish I had forked out the extra money for a decent hotel with our own bathroom. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF STAYING AT THIS HOTEL. |
