Great experience!
from CaroleOThe hairdryer wasn't working in my room on the first morning and was replaced by a brand new one straight away. The rooms are large and very clean. The location is unbeatable - try Astros diner across the street on 6th avenue for great breakfasts.
Not the Best
from A TripAdvisor MemberHowever, I never heard the heater come on nor felt any heat come from it. Also, the walls in the Warwick are paper thin. You can hear everything from simple talking, to what people in the next room are watching on tv, to the alarm clock in the room next door that the moron's who checked out the day before left set for 7:30AM at full blast, which went off for a good 25 minutes before hotel staff bothered to turn it off per my request.
New Yorkers are delightful!
from A TripAdvisor MemberWonderful!
from A TripAdvisor Membervery good, but soft mattress
from A TripAdvisor MemberThey were very busy with a huge volume of holiday tourists.
Only 2 small complaints marred the visit.
1. mattress was very soft -- not good for people with back problems (like me) 2. when first turning on the water in the tap, it came out brown. This was temporary and all subsequent uses of the water (including the shower/tub) were fine.
All in all, this is a fine hotel, with good value for the price -- especially when booked through quikbook. I didn't ask for firmer mattress, but will do so next time.
hotel warwick and more

from A TripAdvisor MemberNot what I expected
from A TripAdvisor MemberI found the rooms nice, although very dark. We had a great deal of trouble regulating the room temperature. It was extremely warm and we had to open windows, even through the night. We never received more than 2 washcloths for 3 guests in the room. The lobby area is small and was always very congested.
The best part about staying at the Warwick was the location, but there were plenty of other hotels in the area to choose from. From the non friendly service that we encountered, I would guess that they would not care that we would not choose the Warwick on our next trip.
Loved the Warwick

Call a cab early ! Be sure and give yourself enough time to get to the theater if you are using a taxi. We almost missed our show and if it hadn't been for our doorman getting us a bicycle pedal cart we would have been late
Broadway Show tickets The TKTS booth, located several places in the city, mainly in Times Square, can be a lucky place to find tickets for the night you are there. However, if you want to be sure to have tickets for a specific night (or afternoon), you should get them before you even leave for New York.....the earlier the better.
Woody is wooden! Went to see Woody Allen perform at Cafe Carlyle. The ambience is great, but very expensive and Woody Allen doesn`t exactly put himself out to entertain the audience. In fact, in this weeny room, he didn`t once - not once! look up or at ANYONE, keeping his head almost between his legs when he wasn`t playing (eyes closed then) Maybe he didn`t want to stand out from the other band members, but if so, his behaviour had entirely the opposite effect. He may as well have demanded a spotlight on him, as everyone waited with baited breath to see if he would smile, blink...burp - anything at all human in fact. Instead it was like watching sulky teenage son trying to get attention by studiously ignoring everybody! \Wierd and all in all an interesting night out - at least the rest of the band seemed to be enjoying themselves. Go if you don`t mind spending a small fortune to be completely ignored by the star "turn". But don`t expect Woody to give as much as a nod when you clap.
