| Great Location, Poor Staff Attitude |
| I took my wife to the W for a long weekend break for her birthday. The hotel has an excellent location and a very good looking lobby and bar. When we arrived, nobody offered to help with our luggage though the receptionist was very friendly and efficient. There were dirty cups and plates outside our room which were not cleared away for 2 days!!! (after twice mentioning this to the front desk).
The maid service was very poor, bed was badly made and room not especially well cleaned, things like bath mats were not straightened, hardly in keeping with their whatever/whenever attitude.
Very freindly bar staff, offered good reccomendations for dinner.
When we checked out they had added $20 for the mini bar which had not been used, they took it off when i complained but could not explain why it was there and did not apologise, neither did they ask about our stay, it seems they dont want to recieve negative feedback.
The overall feeling of this hotel is that they care about the image but dont want to do the hard work to back it up, a general feeling of a place getting tired. |
