Top Local Tips for New York City
NEW YORK New York é a cidade de todos, é o inconsciente - consciente coletivo. – Isso é NEW YORK!!! I want to wake up in that city, that doesn't sleep! And find I'm king of the hill - top of the heap!
best way to get around if sightseeing take the train to do your sightseeing, otherwise it can get awfully expensive to keep parking your car. we are talking thirty dollars for 21/2 hours at many places, and you may still have to park quite a distance from your destination.

When the hotel was changed to the Melrose I was very happy with the changes, in particular, the Library. But what I also saw was the price jump $100-$150. a night and the gym cost rise to $18. It made me really look at the value of staying at the Melrose.
Suddenly the window units that hissed and knocked when you had the heat on, the sterile room decor with the military beds, the slow elevators, and the lack of good restaurants in the neighborhood didn't add up for the extra cost.
I have since moved across the park to a hotel on 72nd. and Broadway. I have found the service to be excellent, the beds alot more comfortable, and the neighborhood and restaurants to be incredible. I always enjoyed my visits at the Melrose and became friends with several employees, but, as I mentioned, I don't see the costs of staying there worth it.
Good luck with everything.
