Sheraton Hotel And Towers New York City

Wow I was very surprised at Sheraton. This hotel is worn out and tired. OK the lobby is fine although the colors garish, however, the hallways are horrible and filthy. The wallpaper is coming off the walls, there was gum stuck on the rug, the carpeting was buckled in most places and the trash was never picked up from the hall forget vacuuming the carpet. There was a dirty Qtip on the carpet for two days - how many maids walked over that! The room was small, but not too bad. It was also in bad shape, dark, the decorative part of the wall sconces was falling off on all lamps, carpet old and tired, TV ancient. I don't care what this hotel costs I would never stay again, I am so disappointed in Sheraton - shame on you!!

Firstly after having read reviews about the rooms on this site & being booked into a standard room, on arrival asked if we could upgrade to a Club Room without even seeing the standard rooms. The Club Room was as pictured on the web site, the bedroom was of ample size for two, with two double beds. The bathroom was a little on the small side but okay. The room was clean and the hotel was very well presented. If you choose to cram extra people into any room to economise, you can't the complain about lack of space. It's well worth paying for the Club Room as you get a complimentary breakfast (hey guys don't forget to leave a tip for the staff in there they are helpful & pleasant), and evening Hors d'Oeuvres, and obviously the more people to a room the better value it becomes!! Only one slight minus, this is a very busy hotel especialy while we were there, the week of the Thanksgiving Parade.
