Great Location
A decent, clean hotel in a superb location. Room was fairly small but adequate. Good coffee shop in the lobby. Great for anyone on a budget. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable, airy, great location.
The hotel staff was very helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable and the location was excellent! The hotel is right on the corner of Madison Square Gardens and being a sports fan this meant I could watch the New York Knicks play live and then make it back to my room in plenty of time to watch the highlights. The views from the upper floors are spectacular and a real appreciation for the Manhatten skyline can be gained. All in all use this hotel, its very very good.

Comfortable and convenient
My friend and I are both seniors on a budget, and could not have asked for a better stay than we had at the Ramada. The location provided easy access to the subway, shopping, restaurants, etc. The hotel staff was helpful and always willing to provide advice, directions or suggestions. Our room was not luxurious, but certainly very comfortable and just fine for our particular needs. I would (and have!) recommended the Ramada Plaza to anyone traveling to New York.

A place to sleep
The hotel was really pretty run down, at least that can be said for the rooms - small, overheated, with a poor/old bath. The critique that really says volumes is that I got on the elevator in the morning to seek out a nearby Starbucks and encountered three other guest who all spoke of how hot the rooms where due to the heating system. Add to that the noise from the N.Y. streets with the windows open for a little air and it was not worth the price paid.
Sorry. I'd like to say something better. Let's see, the staff was pleasant, the little dinner was o.k. for breakfast, etc. Location was o.k.
