I've stayed at a few Radisson Hotels in my day and this one tops all experiences. The front desk staff were willing to help with anything needed. Price was very competitive. However, out of all the physical amenities a hotel can offer, was the human touch just as one walks outside the door. There stands a very kind and helpful gentleman named Stanley. It is he that made my brief stay most memorable. As i awaited my ride Stanely took time to engage me in a very lighthearted yet friendly discussion. He makes Radisson Lexington shine in New York City! As the Manager Don walked by I stated that out of all that would bring me back to the hotel, Stanley was definitely on the top of the list.

Stayed here for one week in the " deluxe room " cramped, old bathroom suite. Took the breakfast package wouldn't reccomend it at all food horrible, tiny portions, poor choice ended up paying to get some decent brekkie! Hotel tried to put through extra tansactions on my credit card - not good ! Watch the tax not included in booking and costs nearly $ 400, plus you need to have another $400 on check in, deposit for breakages ect but that is refundable. Cleaners and door staff brilliant but reception rude to say the least... just stay somewhere else youll find better value hotels

This hotel was simply awesome. The room and the bathroom were well prepared. And the room facilities were modern. And best of all it is in a fantastic neighbourhood near the Chrysler building and Grand Central Station. I plan to stay here on every visit to New York. The place was very classy.
Great price for the area.

The room was fairly clean and the hotel relatively quiet. It did not live up to the advertised great decor and ambience. The staff on the front desk were abrupt and unfriendly and unhelpful. However, the doorman, Stanley, is absolutely fabulous and helped us enormously. He is the hotel's greatest asset.

This is not a new hotel but it's very well kept and has an old world charm about it which gives it a quaint and cosy feeling. The in house dinning room is classy, the service was excellent and the food with its Japanese flare was top rate. I truly enjoyed and will never forget the exquisite tasting sea bass served whole on a huge tray with all the trimmings. The hotel has the perfect location, so you can vertually walk to all the best shopping and sight seeing spots without ever waiting or paying for a cab. It is also walking distance to numerous top rated restaurants and coffee houses. My family and I truly enjoyed our four day stay and we would like to thank the Radisson for all their conveniences which made our family trip memorable.

Great Hotel - Great Location

The hotel rooms are really nice and clean. Typical NYC rooms (little space). Bed was great, you could change positions in it. Included breakfast was always great with great service, altought this was a rush time for them. Service at the hotel was also great. Great Staff. Hotel was walking distance from Rockeffeller center, times square. I would definitely choose this hotel again when traveling to Manhattan.

My boyfriend and I just got back from our New York. We book Junior Suite for 3 nights at Radisson Lexington. I stayed in this hotel previously and it was ok, this time it was low, low, low beyond my expectations:
- The room was dirty - mold and mildew in the bathroom,
- We could bairly see through our window 'cause it was so dirty....very very dirty
- There was no shower gel, and after using their soap my skin turns yellow !!! So I had to buy my own shower gel.
- Bed was making noises every time I turn
- The walls are thin and we could hear peoples talking, there was ice machine that making noise as well
- There was no minibar - no bottled water in room
- My credit card was charged for 50 USD, when I ask they why no one could explain me this. The guy from front desk told me that this is standard procedure and they make just pre authorization in case of ... using minibar, he was confuse when I said that there are on minibar in my room.
- There was totally mess up with my room, upon arrival my room was change but on tv (you can check your bill) was totally different name with no bill at all.
- The staff were not very friendly. Every time we were asking for something we were made to feel like it was our fault.
- As a gold point member I ask for late check out, they told my that I cant check out later than 1 pm. My plane was at 8 pm so I live my bags at the doorman, of course I have to pay 4USD (2 $ for each bag) - that was unusual for me, I always live tip for keeping my bags and usually its more than 4$, but this time I just take the bags

Greatn Stay

Just returned from New York, stayed in Radisson Lexington. Much better than reviews suggested. Upgraded to a Suite without asking. Although work at building across the Street did'nt bother us. Good location, New York is a walking City. Offered a 6p.m. late check out by very obliging Night Manager. Will stay here again. Good value for this area.
not enough value for your money

We moved to this hotel after spending a night at crackhouse The Madison Hotel and although the room was spacious, the metal frame on the bed broke, and they charged us the keep our luggage after checking out. The Comfort Inn Midtown did not do that when I stayed there another time. Also, for the money you are paying, which was $300/night, it was NOT worth it. Stay at Comfort Inn Midtown. The continental breakfast was also not very good. You got a voucher to eat at the attached diner where the staff were not very hospitable.
Not a Radisson!

My husband and I stayed at the Radisson on Lexington for 3 nights. It has a great location and lobby, but once up the elevator, we were disappointed. Yes, you do expect NYC rooms to be small...the bathroom was tiny, but that wasn't the problem, it was also dirty! The shower curtain had mildew, the vents were clogged with dirt, the bathtub was all nicked up and there was a large crack in the sink. They had changed the lighting fixture over the sink/mirror, but it was smaller than the previous one, so the wallpaper had holes in it. The wallpaper between the bathtub and floor was peeling off with mildew on the dryway, as the shower curtain didn't really protect this area. The room was Ok, and we thought on the 23rd floor we wouldn't be bothered by the street noise, but the window seals were poor and we heard honking and street noise all night long plus there was more of a breeze from the window than the A/C. It wasn't the greatest place to stay, but again the location was good with lots of restaurants, bars and sites close by. It's a bit long in the tooth and needs a good refurbishing...at least room 2306 does!
One day trip in New York

The hotel is in a very good location, walknig distance to the Grand Central Station and Time Square. It is clean with enough new furniture. The room was not so large, but it is usual in Manhattan, the view from the room was nice (Crhisler Building up front) the noise was low, as the window was not over the main street.
Moreover, the price was very good, 130$ including breakfast and internet, it was less than usual as it was Sunday night.
There are other beatiful hotes around it, but this is the best one in terms of cost/services, in my opinion.

Stayed here for a couple of nights prior to cruising. Good location as you can walk out of the front door and just keep walking to 5th Avenue, 6th Avenue, Central Park, Grand Central Station etc. also lots of subway stations around if you want to travel that way. Make sure you have dollar notes and quarters to use in the ticket purchase machines. Very similar to London underground, just keep watching the maps.
Don't recommend Raffles - the restaurant which is on the corner of the hotel and accessed from street or lobb - very expensive for breakfast. Walk south down Lexington to Wendy's or something similar at about a third of the price.

We were on the 27th floor and whilst the room was fine for a couple of nights it was a bit tired not like the pictures on the website.. But it was clean and everything worked and for a base for a couple of nights it was fine. If you get a room at a reasonable price then its a good hotel with great access for central Manhattan.

We went to visit NY city and we booked Radisson Lexington Hotel. The service at the reception was the worst we had. We booked the Executive and were given the Guest room. The room and corrider are dirty. You have to bring your laptop to have access to internet or you will have to pay in very to get access. We tried but the payment was complicated so we simply gave up. The City of NewYork is beautifull city and we forget about the hotel. The hotel should be 2 star or below.

The hotel is an excellent base,it's clean comfortable very friendly & central,it cant be that bad if Cabin Crew from Quatar airways and tennis players for the U.S. open use it !!! The room was perfectly adequate for 2 of us the bed was comfy the shower / bathroom excellent and watching the NY Yankees in HD on a 42 incher was better than a poxy portable u sometimes get !! Iron & board, safe,hair dryer and Sony radio alarm clock also provided. Bloomies 11 blox away, Grand Central 5,Times Square 10 mins walk. 4 Irish bars close by especially "The Perfect Pint" on 45th between 2nd & 3rd the rooftop terrace is a fantastic way to enjoy the black stuff with superb food. Be sure to buy a City Sights bus pass the tours are excellent and one of the stops is 2 mins fron the Rad.We had a superb time in NYC with no complaints whatsoever When checking out $2 per bag for luggage room,if you need it. I would'nt hesitate recommending this hotel to anybody,"Have a nice day"
Great location and value for money

My sister and i stayed at this hotel at the end of May this year and were quite worried after reading reviews on various web sites. Thankfully we arrived and had nothing to worry about. The lobby area's really nice and luxurious, the staff were great and there was a lovely chinese restaurant on site. We were booked into a "petite" room - ok it was small, but we guessed that from the name of the room at the time of booking! But it was plenty big enough for what you needed - hey you're in the most exciting city in the world so why would you be spending that much time in your room anway! The room was clean, nice bathroom and everything worked.
You're 2 minutes walk away from central station so great for getting out and about further afield but lots of shopping, restaurants and attractions within walking distance.
Would definately stay there again.

Macys When visiting Macys, go to the Visitors Centre, explain that you are on holiday and they will give you a discount card to use in all departments for a maximum of 30 days. Identification or a credit card is needed as proof.
subways great on a budget or not Subway was a handy way to get everywhere we wanted to go (when not walking). Easy to figure out.Taxis easy to get and reasonable for shorter trips, e.g. from hotel to Times Square.
Save money on breakfast We found that you can save money on breakfast by eating at the sandwich-to-go and breakfast places that are dotted all over NYC instead of at the hotel. These aren't really delis and they're more than stores, and have features in common with both. My husband and I had two hot breakfasts with coffee and juice for a total of $10. Two popular chains are Cafe Metro and Cosi.
