As first time visitors to New York, we weren't quite sure what to expect, having heard stories of tiny, dirty hotel rooms in dodgy locations. Thankfully, The Kimberly lived up to none of those expectations. Our 3 generational family of 6 (4 adults and two children) had more than enough room in the 2 bedroom suite. The master bedroom and ensuite were particularly large and nicely furnished -the storage closet in the living room allowed those staying on the pull out couch to put their belongings away during the day. The kitchen and balcony went down a treat; being able to have breakfast & snacks at home saved us a fortune, whilst escaping onto the balcony and picking out famous landmarks or watching the passing traffic kept the children entertained. Chandeliers in the hallways & ornate furniture add to the warmth of the building - it's not flash or luxurious but a pleasant change from the coldness of some modern hotels.
