Great for the price, great staff!!
Best of the cheap places - less than $40! Not having much money, I have stayed here twice a year for a minimum two weeks for over 10yrs! On my first night I was shocked at the size of the room for the price [not used to NYC prices!!!] and state of some of the bathrooms, but the room was clean, NO bedbugs, one or two small cockroaches [zero by NYC standards - seen bigger at friends' houses!] I go to the 99c shops buy hangers, [you could get sheets or mop/broom if you want for 99c]. Sheets are changed weekly on Weds. I always use a sleeping sheet as well [ex youth hosteller - tooooooooo expensive now], be selective about showers/toilets, wear plastic slippers in the showers and wash toilet seat if you want more than a wee/pee, or wait until you can go to a shop/restaurant. The towels are small but clean [or buy your own for 99c], you get soap & the water is always hot. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful, [you receive what you give].
