Little things count
The hotel was lovely for the most part but two small things made a big impression. The bath had no window or ventilation system and the air conditioner was extremely noisy. This was not in keeping with the reputation of the hotel and we were disappointed.

Our first thought when in NY
Several years ago my husband and I flew to NY to attend a friend's wedding. Hotel Elysee was highly recommeded because of its prime location, attention to fine service, a lovely continental breakfast and a small, intimate, friendly luxurious, boutique hotel atmosphere. We have been back severel times and have experienced the same impeccable service at the Elysee. It is perfect for a woman traveling alone, with a family or for the business traveller as well. You are our first thought when in NY> Thanks!!

Excellent Value
The hotel is excellent, with good perks e.g. coffee and tea and cocktails, etc. The only problem was that the main elevator did not work for about two days and we had to use the freight elevator and stairs at times. I would certainly stay there again but this mechanical issue needs to be addressed. I would appreciate a note back from you acknowledging this e mail evaluating and letting me know how the elevators are faring now.

My favorite boutique hotel in New York
I love the Hotel Elysee when I go to New York to shop. It is so close to all the most elegant shops, restaurants and galleries. The staff treat me like gold and I love the free breakfast in the morning and the wine and cheese at night.
