| Bad room, worse service |

We reserved rooms online with the confidence that Doubletrees provide a certain standard of service - NOT what we received. We were given a room directly over the garage (two sleepless nights of listening to the clanging of the elevator which moves them around), the bathroom had water damage to the ceiling and major mildew issues. When we finally asked to move to another room we were assured by the front desk that it would be taken care of and our bags moved for us while we went out and enjoyed our day... we returned that evening after dinner and we found that no such thing had been done! We were still in our crappy room and no one had touched our repacked bags! Unbelievable for a Doubletree/Hilton property. Will NEVER stay there again or advise anyone else to. I travel a lot and have never been treated quite like this. |

For the price relative to the area (Manhattan) I could not expect more. I appreciated highly the security services, for tracing the document I left behind to me. I may come again |

| Perfect Location. |

The Metropolitan Hotel is in a perfect location for both sight seeing and shopping. I have recommended to several people since my stay. |
