If you grew up at Kutshers every summer then you can ignore the flaws of this hotel. I look forward to going up every summer and looking back at all the times that I can never get back. It's a shame that Kutshers stands alone as the only hotel from its era. Ignore all the reviews of this place, ignore the flaws of the hotel, enjoy the times you once had and ake new memories if you get the opportunity.

Terrible stay at Kutshers - would never go there again. The facilities are dirty and the staff are unhelpful and rude. The entertainment is old and shoddy and needs re-vamping. When I complained to the management they seemed totally disinterested. Don't go!

I have been spending weekends here once or twice a year for five years or so. The rooms show touches of wear, but there is a staff to fix problems. This is not a brand new 5 star hotel, but the prices reflect it. It is clean and comfortable, but the low end rooms will more closely resemble a college dormitory than a resort. You get what you pay for. The food is borscht belt rather than Michelin. I can only presume that the gentlemen who wrote the scathing review was not familiar with the restrictions of Kosher cuisine. Since you can order as many dishes as you want, it would seem that he should have been able to find something he liked, but remember you won't get pork products and Saturday breakfast is limited. This is one of the last grand hotels of the Catskills with the fun of its all inclusive package of food, facilities and entertainment. Like a cruise ship on land, once there, you don't have to spend much more if you don't want to. As the other reviewer said, many people come back again and again.

Don't even know where to begin on this..this place is absolutely mold-infested, and should be razed to the ground. Unfortunately, I was there for a music conference and didn't have the option of going anywhere else, so I muscled my way through a one-night stay and got out of there as fast as I could the following morning. More details: Mold infestation is so apparent that not only can you smell it as soon as you enter the place, you can SEE it: there was black mold growing in my bathroom. . That's REALLY bad. The bathroom light was a flurescent lamp that was so old it a) made the entire bathroom green; b) flickered so incessantly that it PAINFUL to be in the bathroom for more than 5 seconds. The water coming out of both the sink and the shower was brown. Had to brush my teeth with bottled water and didn't even shower in the morning The food was institutional and terrible. I had better food in high school. The silverware was rusty and old, and the dining room staff was rude and inattentive. On top of it all, at the end of my stay, I noticed on my bill that they had the nerve to charge my credit card $9.00 on an $80.oo room rate. That ended poorly for them, that's for sure. In short, I've stayed in a lot of bad places before in my career as a musician, including a hotel room in Tempe with bullet holes and bloodstains, and frankly, I'd rather stay there again before I step foot on Kutsher's property. You couldn't pay me to stay there ever again.
