Do not be fooled by posted pics - there may be one room that looks like that but you will not be in it. The owner may have painted over the yellow but has done nothing to improve the interior. Check local courthouse for past and pending lawsuits of unsatisfied customers. Check out the room Darlene puts you in before you sign.

Top Local Tips for Montauk
Getting there/going home Don't even try to drive out to Montauk from Manhattan after @11:00am on Friday and Saturday in the Summer. By the time you get to Rt. 27, it will be jammed with cars and a 2 1/2 hour drive could take you 5 hours. Either go early or after 8:00pm. Leaving on Sunday to drive back is best done before noon--otherwise, you're going to sit on Rt. 27 for a LONG time.
Book early Since Montauk has limited rooms available, it is advisable to book for next year now in order to secure the room type your looking for.
A good place to stay. Our next time we will stay at the Yatch club in Montauk. I was just to late to book there but got stuck at Oceanside Beach Resort.
