We love Montauk and have been staying at Hartman's Briney Breezes for many years. We just returned from our most recent visit. The location of this motel, across the street from the beach, is perfect and the views from the rooms are beautiful. The rooms are spotless, roomy and updated. What really keeps us coming back here though, are the current managers, Rob and Jenny. They are the best. They are consistently professional, friendly and responsive. They always make us feel welcome (very important to us) and are the perfect hosts, including providing the latest information on what is new in Montauk. We highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for a fun, peaceful and carefree retreat in a beautiful setting with wonderful people.

Just Love This Place

If you want to go somewhere to just relax in privacy and enjoy the beach, this is definitely the place. We have been coming back for at least 5 years and have never been disappointed.

Reasons why returning to this motel year after year

Accommodations are large and exceptionally clean. The panoramic view is breathtaking. The proximity of the beach (about 1/8th of a mile) and the heated swimming pool are part of the reasons why we have returned to this hotel for 17 years. We also value the hotel's location just outside Montauk. It ensures peace and relaxation, while the town is still close enough to be able to leisurely stroll to stores and restaurants.

Belligerent rude manager

Even though the hotel is clean and well situated the manager and his wife are rude, arrogant and belligerent. And from what we understand from various sources, what happened during our stay is not an isolated incident. We will not return to this hotel. Montauk has plenty of excellent accommodations where you are treated with respect, not with contempt.
