We are a family of 5. The Atlantic Terrace was great for us. We went with 6 other families. In fact, we stay there every August. You did't have to travel far to get to the beach or swim in the pool. The room was decent. There were no cigarette burns in the sheets. The price was right and my family and friends will continue to stay there.

WORST hotel EVER!!!!!!!

My husband and I were looking forward to stay at the Atlantic Terrace for two nights and unfortunately had to leave first thing in the morning after just one terrible night. To begin with, staff is not friendly at all. Our room was extremely TINY, DIRTY, OLD and NOISY. Bathroom was in very bad condition, and there was NO HOT WATER!!! Our air conditioning was NOT WORKING so someone had to bring a fan because the heat was unbearable. Our room was next to the stairs so we could hear people going up and down the stairs at all time. Sheets had cigarette burns, and you can imagine that the room smelled terrible. The carpet under the refrigerator was soaked. Also, the next morning we realized we had tiny "mosquito" bites all over....only they were not mosquitoes. The hotel was packed with children running all over and definitely it is not a nice place to stay. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! You'll only loose your money and probably get scamed as we did. Pictures on the website have NOTHING to do with the real thing; believe me. I hope you find this review helpful. I do not wish for anyone to go through our same experience.

Owner of hotel--be aware

What has happened to this hotel? As my second visit within 2 years--I can't believe the decline in the hotel in such a short time. As a travel agent for 16 years--I'm appalled that "management" does not care about the concerns of their guests (my group had 22 rooms at an average of $200/night and an average stay of 4nights). The hotel had no problem dishing out their complaints, which we adhered to; but turned their heads to our complaints. Our complaints included the bathrooms by the pool area always running out of toilet paper and being soooo dirty you'd rather not go! Dog poop on the walkways (by the way--the rule is no dogs allowed!!) 2 wash cloths and no towels for a family of 4 (not so bad--human error and all-except I had to go to the "manager" twice in the same day asking for towels--and at 645pm-when my family wanted to take showers and we still had no towles--her reaction was a mere shrug and told me they will get there when they get there!!! The nerve!! In the 16 years as a travel agent, I had my share of settling disputes for corporate clients as well as expressing the opinions of dissatisfied clients to many hotel/motel/resort managers. NEVER have I witnessed complete lack of interest. Besides my group of 22 rooms who have various complaints from housekeeping, to the condition and cleanliness of the resort, there was also security issues as well. Though probably the work of a few pranksters, I don't think it is a guests responsiblity to "clean" the railings of the public steps--because ketchup was lathered all over them. After several complaints that it needed to be cleaned up--I gave up and washed it down with a washcloth, before 1 more person was stained with ketchup all over!!! When one books a hotel in January for a stay in August at a property with 2 jacuzzis, it's a little dissapointing to find out only 6 weeks prior to check in, that they were being "worked on" and wouldn't be available to the guests. Then to see them completely gone--well just another disappointment. While checking out, I overheard another unhappy customer complaining about the security issues, the fact it took many many phone calls to get their toilet fixed, and that their own room never seemed to have toilet paper. I'm trying to find out who owns this property--to tell them they need to address some issues unless they want to carry a "vacant" sign all the time. I know the "manager" didn't care that our group would not be returning next year, but I thought the owner might be concerned about loosing a little more than $17,600 in room revenue my group brought in. In addition they will loose an additional $15,000 since I was organizing a separate group for early next season, and now will need to find a different property. So everyone beware--The location is great, and the coffee shop makes a great egg sandwhich, but for over $200 a night you shouldn't need to bring your own toilet paper, watch out for dog poop, be concerned about the cleanliness of the pool, wonder why security is more concerned with your large cooler in front of your room ($235/night) than the kethup slathered all over the railings (by the way--the manager claims we made that up--if she got off her a-- and took a look, or even sent out security to look--she would know it wasn't a lie--i'm sure the nice woman cleaning my room could vouch for the kethup drenched washcloths she had to transport to the laundry facilities)-and you shouldn't have to fight over the last ice cube in the 1 ice machine for over 100 rooms (it never had more that a few handfulls of ice at a time) If anyone knows who owns this propery--speak up now!! I look forward to an "under new management" sign in the near future!!
