The Comfort Inn was priced high for a hotel of its calibre on this very busy weekend but it turned out to be a very comfortable stay. They made special arrangements to have a 4:30 AM breakfast as many of the guests were doing the Iron Man Triathlon that day. The indoor pool was great for the kids and the rooms were nice, roomy and clean.

Top Local Tips for Lake Placid
Desperados for good mexican food Right across the road from the hotel , good mexican joint. Others said greek place up the road going into town [ Mykonos ] was pretty good too.
Take the trolley During the summer season, park your car and take the trolley around town.
GPS & Navigator don't work - get a map Make sure you get a map before you head into the mountains. We found our GPS/Navigator out of commission and were really greatful for the maps.
