A great place to stay. Beautiful prices and so is the view. Sandy beach and lovely pool. Best in all services. Kind and friendly people. I hope that Jane is still there. Miss you guys. Will see you soon!

I have to say, this is the BEST place to vacation!! I have been coming to this RESORT for 4 years and absolutely LOVE it!! What other place can you go to and let your kids run like animals and not worry!! No where else but SCOTTY'S! What other place can you go to and not have to leave the RESORT to eat, swim, play,--SCOTTY's is the place to go! You can sit right on the porch and watch your kids play on the swing sets, fish in the lake, swim in the pool--right from your LAKESIDE room--SCOTTY'S is the place to be! After a long day, what other place can you get a nice cold drink and sit and watch the stars while your kids are tucked in bed--SCOTTY'S is the place to be! It is soo close to the village, you can walk to it from the RESORT--just a hop, skip and jump away! Through rain and shine, we have always had the best vacations at SCOTTY'S!!!!!!!

Our group of about 30 people go back to Scottys every year or every other. We like it because it has everything we need right there at the resort. Every time we return we are excited to see all the new renovations that are made. 1 year its new carpet, the next new furniture. Every year there is something new. We all like the casual atmosphere, and how close it is to town.
Scotty's leaves a lot to be desired!

Scotty's is a horrible motel! The grounds are not kept up, the rooms are outdated, and the people staying there are white trash. If that's the experience you are looking for than that's the place for you. Otherwise run, don't walk to another "hotel". Do yourself the favor and save your money.
Dishonest, unscrupulous!

We wanted to take our 3yr. old daughter on a vacation getaway of rest & relaxation. I used to go to Scotty's as a child myself. Unfortunately the Scotty's receptionist refused to tell us the truth, despite being asked all the right questions. We got stuck in a 4-day visit during AMERICADE 'bike week'. Do NOT take your family to Lake George during AMERICADE. Each summer for a full week, 50,000 motorcycles take over the town, half of them with illegal exhaust systems, 110 decibels each (equivalent to a jet plane ascending at 1000 feet). We got no peace or quiet whatsoever all week, the sound of roaring motorcycles is still in my head! The bikers tooled around the village and the entire lake constantly, you could hear the roar everywhere you went, they were like locusts. Especially at the hotel, bikers coming and going constantly, from 6am to midnite, drinking bear, revving their engines, Scotty's of course refused a refund after the noise finally drove us away, we ended up paying without staying the full stint. Rooms were overpriced at $110/nite. Place is run down, little improvement fromt he 1970s. Avoid lake George area entirely, especially during AMERICADE. If you must go up there instead stay at Bolton's Landing a few miles north. Boycott the town of Lake George, they make $30 million each year off of AMERICADE.

I've been going to Scotty's Motel since I was 6 years old and "nothing" has changed including the grounds, pool, and room decor. For the rates that Scotty's is charging they should be upgrading, cleaning and maintaining the grounds. After our last visit we decided it was over priced for the quality of the accomadations. Lake George is beautiful but not if you are staying at Scotty's.
