| Overpriced |
Setting is pretty. Furniture was cruddy. Doors were filthy with handprints of previous guests. Advertised store was closed. No telephones or internet access. Float in water is falling apart and dangerous. Overpriced, considering. |

| Getting Worse |
Our family as been staying here for over 30+ years. It used to be called Stone Gate, And then it was beautiful. You could drive to the lake, the grounds were well kept, and the restaurant was open for all 3 meals. Since it has been Clinton Inn, they have been more concerned with $$ for themselves, and not the comfort of the travelers. It is sad, because it used to be a great place to stay. |

| Beware |
We came down for Americade. Our usual place was booked so we tried this. One group had a cottage which was old and dirty. Holes stains and cobwebs. Our hotel room was slightly newer looking but still crappy. Breakfast was good. Our maid was useless. On the third day we finally got our beds made. Our advise: Read the reviews of other travelers before you waste your money! Americade rocks but Clinton Hotel doe NOT!! |

| Bad news |
Four of us stayed here for Americade. We saw it online and it looked nice. The location's pretty, but that's it. Both our rooms were dusty when we got there. There were allot of suspicious stains. The furniture is plastic and it's peeling and chipped. The bathroom floor had gross hairs. For the price, we expected much more. Friends of ours stayed at Diamond's Point, and their room was much nicer than ours and cheaper too. Next year we'll go there instead. Too bad because it is a pretty area and Americade was as awesome as ever!!!! |

| Tme to renovate |
This place has a lovely location and the bones are there to make it a nice place. However, the cabins appear quite old and ours was rather shabby inside. The furniture and rugs were stained and the furnishings appear rather cheap. The prices seemed high considering the condition. We did have a nice breakfast at the coffee shop. Next year, we'll seek someplace a little nicer. |
