| Beautiful View, Tiny Room |
|
We stopped in Hague on a trip through upstate New York and Vermont last fall. There weren't many accommodation options around, so we were delighted to spot this small motel on the lake. The view is absolutely spectacular. There is a nice big waterfront area for guests to enjoy said view. Unfortunately, the rooms in this renovated motel are very, very tiny--and not at all soundproof. We didn't get a good night's rest, that's for sure. They are nicely decorated though, and quite clean. The owner is very, very friendly and helpful. However, the motel is a little on the pricy side--especially for its size. Because of the smallness of the space, the thinness of the walls, and the cost factor, I'd have to give this place a Seven out of Ten, despite its aesthetic advantages. Also, if you are planning to stay, keep in mind that there are very, very few stores/attractions in the area. One general store with limited hours, and that's about it. |
