The rooms were ok---the showers were not very good. The toilets had to be flushed 5-6 times every time. The food was not fit for a dog. We ate the first day at the lodge they were out of everything but hamburger and fish everything were burnt there was enough grease on the fries to cook a chicken. The soup had so much salt in it you could not eat it. It was the first and last time to stay there.

I used to visit the lodge in the early nineties while bear hunting in the Adirondacks and I remember the spendid views and fantastic food served to me. This is a rustic lodge in the middle of nowhere and one should expect the total Adirondack experience. I also do not agree with the tenters who found it shabby.
The food was top shelf and I will be visiting again to enjoy the experience.

I feel bad for the person that did the first review but my wife and I had a completely different experience. The entire motel building has been remodeled. The rooms are very nice (very plain like most of the lodging in the area of the park), the beds and all the furniture are all brand new and everything was absolutely CLEAN! They had regular maid service to clean the rooms each day.
This was a very enjoyable place to stay for the labor day weekend and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I was lured in by the well-designed website with pictures of great looking rooms, but was appalled after opening the door to our room. Between the carpet stains on the rugs and the mildew in the shower, the bed looked like the safest place to sit, and maybe comfortable after 4 nights in a tent. Think again! The mattress was so worn out that I sank right to the box spring. We checked out after 30 minutes but unfortunately the manager "wasn't around" to give us a refund. What a waste.
