The staff at this hotel made me feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel could use some new carpeting but other than that the hotel rooms were great and the staff unbelievable.

For one thing, the hotel was to give a special rate to the state conference and I had to argue with the desk to get the special rate. I was placed in a room on the 7th floor and the room had a smell of mold and I became ill the next morning and was forced to return back to Las Cruces without staying for the entire conference.

WOW!!!! A little bit of NY in Albuquerque

from RBTXN
Was down in Albuquerque for a business trip for a few days. Decided to stay at the Sheraton. I heard that they finished the renovations and I wanted to check out a new hotel in Albuquerque. Great rooms, great lobby and excellent service. I enjoyed their new link which allowed me to use their computers and internet for free. Had dinner in their restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. The workout facility was nice and the equipment all had TV's on the machines. Definately recommend this hotel. Reminded me of boutique hotels in NY. Very modern and plush.

Located close to restaurants, shopping and ttansportation, the staff were absolutely wonderful? Clean rooms, very comfortable and attentive staff made my stay very pleasant. Will definitely stay there again, on business or personal trip.

Nice hotel in great location

from at_the_track
Located near one of the biggest shopping malls in Albuquerque, this hotel has great access to the interstates, as well as shopping and restaurant/night life. The rooms are spacious, but lacked some common appointments. It did not have a microwave, or a refrigerator. There was a coffee machine, but it only makes one cup at a time. I did like that their heating system is located in the interior wall, and not one of those blowers that they stick below the window. It heated the room well, and quietly. I needed a remote for the 32" TV. Had to wait 30 about 30 minutes as apparently there is only one guy that can bring you a remote, and he had just left for lunch (at 7:00 pm). So we had to wait for him.
The rooms seem to be insulated from others as the noise level is at a minimum. The only drawback is that they ihave installed these "super flushing" units in the toilets, which makes a loud noise for about 1 second. So you can hear others flushing in the middle of the night. There was a wedding reception there at the time, and I guess the guests were frequently going to the bathroom that night. They have a restaurant and a lobby bar. In the lobby there was also an internet and printer, so I could print out my boarding pass for Southwest airlines. Seemed to be readily available when I needed it. Nice small indoor pool and hot tub, along with a searate workout room. The workout room had 3-4 of the treadmill/epiliptical types of equipment, along with dumbells (that only went up to 60 lbs). Their inroom guest directory touted a sauna, but the staff said that they didn't have one. One night I had to park in the back. There are exit doors from the hotel, but you can't get in at night (no place to swipe your guest card). So we had to park in back and walk around to the front of the hotel. And it was cold.
All in all, a good experience. Nice, clean, quiet hotel located in a busy are with most of the conveniences you could need.

Upscale--yet affordable-- experience in Uptown

Ignore the outside, inside the Sheraton Uptown Albuquerque is fabulous.
Great decor, looks like something you'd see in NY or LA.

Comfortable, plush rooms.
42 inch flat TVs with in-room movies.
Great indoor pool and hot tub.
Nice onsite restaurant and bar.
Close to Uptown ABQ shopping.
Elegantly appointed bathroom.

Great stay!

My first experience booking with Hotwire was a disappointment, but I'm glad I kept trying. This was my 3rd stay via a Hotwire booking and it was by far the best. The hotel must have been recently renovated because everything looked updated and new. Our room was spotless, and when we were put in a King room rather than a room with two queens (2 adults, 1 child) I called the front desk and they immediately sent up a full twin size rollaway bed for my daughter at no extra charge. Room service was timely and tasty. My daughter (age 6) loved the indoor pool and we had a good breakfast the next morning as well. I highly recommend this property!

Loved Albuquerque

from canucks4
We were on a road trip starting in Albuquerque and ending in Las Vegas from January 31-February 8, 2009. We stayed our first two nights at the Sheraton Uptown - great decision. The location was very good with easy access to highways, major through streets, shopping malls, walking distance to a fun sports bar for the Superbowl (Uptown Sports Bar). The staff at the desk couldn't be more helpful with tourist information, directions, courtesies, etc. The room was clean, bright, nice view, comfortable bedding. The parking lot was easy in/out with two main roads to access from different directions (and parking was free). A very good choice and I would highly recommend this hotel to others.

t Let Outside Fool You

Got a Good deal on Priceline and was pleasantly surprised by the super nice remodel at this hotel.

Staff: Friendly and nice during late night check in. Check out girl unable to locate my Starwood account # (which Sheraton in Oklahoma City found after one attempt). She gave up after 2 attempts, didnt seem to want to bother.

Rooms: Above average remodeling effort by Sheraton, great value for $$. Nice 42 inch LG TV with HD channels. Awesome bed! Room and hotel very clean.

Location: Lots of places to eat due to nearby mall.

Only draw back is outside of hotel looks like your standard 1980's Marriott type hotel.

Great Value

from kkmrag
I stayed here twice over a four day period as bookends to a NM roadtrip. This Sheraton was recently upgraded and is in a great location- uptown. Convenient to airport and shops and restaurants and highways. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nothing special as it is a chain but for the price, a much better value than nearby Hyatt and Marriott.

The Renovations Are Fantastic!

from Traveler045
I had not been back to Albuquerque for around 8 months and did not stay at the Sheraton becuase they were under renovations. I just got back from my trip and decided to stay here and see how the renovations were. I was so so suprised! the hotel looks better than a Sheraton. It reminds me of the W Hotels from Starwood that I usually stay at in larger cities. Very contemporary and luxurious. The rooms are big; almost twice the size of the rooms at the Marriott down the street. The business center which they call the Link is a great touch to get work done and it is all free. Staff was exceptional and food in the restaurant was good. However, we ate at the other restaurants at the ABQ Uptown mall which is next to the hotel. I have found my new home in Albuquerque. Definately stay here if your coming to the city.

Top Local Tips for Albuquerque

Be careful at night When I stayed in ABQ, a woman was assaulted in the parking lot of our hotel. This may be a common occurrance, but please take extra precautions.--David

Gathering of Nations Pow Wow Wonderful experience - a great way to experience live music & dancing of many different nations. I would definately recommend going - it's very convenient - parking is not a problem, -lots of vendors you can bargain with, food (indian tacos/fry bread/bbq) a wonderful experience. I will be going back! A feast for the ears & eyes! BEAUTIFUL!

Go stay at the Marriott on Louisana its new and nice Say no to Sheraton ABQ
