Absolutely Disgusting!

This was the worst hotel I have every been to. We checked in and checked right back out. It is in a bad neighborhood and is not at all close to transportation as the website suggests. The room was disgusting. There were gang symbols carved in the bathroom door, ridiculous amounts of mold on the shower curtain, blood on the bathroom mirror, ash all over our "non-smoking" room, and several other gooey substances throughout the room that I don't even want to think about. Stay somewhere else!!!

Top Local Tips for Jersey City
Choose another place. This is a terrible city. High crime rate, generally ugly and dirty. Plus, the entire city smells like sewage all the time. I would definitely NEVER return to this, the armpit of the United States.
Ellis Island & Statue of Liberty Get as early a sailing as you can and pay the little bit extra for the audio tours. ESPECIALLY helpfull for Ellis Island. Also, VERY IMPORTANT, buy your tickets well ahead of time online. There are a limited number of people allowed to actually enter the base of the Statue of Liberty each day, and if you try to buy a ticket when you get there, you will only be seeing the outside of Lady Liberty...
TURISTA Hard to find a hotel, not much to do. Everywhere you go, you feel like a Target from the Movie Turista!
