Shopping galore! The Pier on the boardwalk is amazing! Even if you can't afford it, its a great place to window shop. They have Gucci and Tiffany's, pretty much anything! The Walk beside the hotel has outlets that are great.

Watch Yourself Be careful down there. It's not a nice place as there are many poor and homeless people in spite of the casinos. You will stick out if you are not from there so always be aware of your surroundings. Be very careful at night and take cabs to get around if you need to. Be especially careful in the parking garages at the casinos as many are not patrolled often or use their valet service. The boardwalk is fine during the day but use caution at night especailly in the winter when it's quieter. Summer months are better at night. Tourists are targets so be watchful of purse snatchers and pick pockets. There are usually plenty of poice around anyway but always be on your guard.

See Absecon Lighthouse while in AC Drive the short trip to Absecon lighthouse to see an incredible relic of historic NJ. Although the surrounding area is run-down, the lighthouse is in great shape and you can climb all 217 (or so) steps to the top for astounding views.
