Historical Traveller Reviews of Sheraton Nashua Hotel

Great Value and Good Location BUT Still Needs Work

from marsss
To put it simply and to the point Radisson bought the old Tara Sheraton in Nashua, NH. They have invested a lot in upgrading this hotel property. Although this property is quiet expansive in size outside and inside, and having all the rooms redone, there were areas that one frequent traveler could see that still needed some atention. Yes all the beds are new, the linens are new, the furniture is new in the rooms BUT the bathrooms need more attention with newer vanities, fixtures and lighting. The older heating and airconditioning wall units need to be changed out and digital thermostats installed on the wall for more precise air temp. If we were not feeling to warm/stuffy in our room we were too cold/frozen like a meat locker, there was no in between with these older units vs. the new ones.
Another issue in saving money/water or as Radisson mention saving "Natural Resources", unless you leave a guest card on your pillow they will not change your linens for three days. On the the third day you get new linens for another three days unless you leave this in-room card on your pillow as they do make your bed only otherwise.
No HDTV in the rooms and the tv selections for channels is not what I would call great. You get perhaps 30 tv channels. Thats it.
There are no vending machines for late night snacks should the munchies come on while watching tv. Be prepared to bring your own snacks and drinks as a bottle of water (12oz) was 2.00 dollars. Finally if you don't know the Nashua, NH area for dining do some research as the front desk are at a loss for reccomendations. I was lucky enough to have lived in Nashua for two years before returning four years later to find my old favorite resturants still serving great food. If your a tourist there is a lot to choose from right within a four mile drive.
One positive note that this hotel sits back off the main road, it's very quiet and very well maintained exterior is a big plus as well as the lanscaping in this high tech business park area. It also very easy to navigate to from the main highway (rt 3).
Would I come back? I might but I would also like to try the Marriott Courtyard, But that is another 3-4 miles north.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in 1998 when it was the Sheraton Tara. Under new ownership, it is now the Radisson Nashua Tara, and has been completely renovated, restored to its "Camelot" charm and beauty, and enhanced in many ways.
The staff is exceptionally courteous and efficient, and the setting is magnificent (you might think you were arriving at a castle in Europe).
The location is very convenient (just minutes across the state line from Massachusetts, just 40 miles from Boston). There are numerous shopping centers nearby --New Hampshire somehow still does not have a state sales tax! The outdoor pool is magnificent, and there is also an indoor pool. The health & fitness club is well-equipped. The hotel food is surprisingly good. There are facilities for conventions and weddings. The parking lot is huge, with plenty of spaces near the main entrance for vehicles with handicap permits. We would have liked more channels on the hotel TV system, but TV watching took up very little of our time at Tara.

d room

Nashua does not have a lot of choice if you have to be specifically there. The Raddison was under reno when we stayed so we got a room that had just been put together. The new furniture was comfortable and adequate. I never understand why hotels shortcut when they redo a property, like using old furniture that should not have been, keeping some of the old bathroom fixtures. But overall a reasonable place to stay.

Loved the Hotel

from NewJerseySoccermom
The hotel lobby is beautiful set up with several couches and a tv area. The newly renovated rooms were spacious and set up with modern furniture and a large tv. Great for family travel or business travel. The entire hotel was spotless and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The indoor pool , hottub and sauna area was large and set up with cushioned lounge chairs and several patio tables. The pool and spa area were also spotless. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was very good. We did see several banquet/ meeting rooms and it would be a great place for a busisness meeting or gatherings. We will definately stay at this hotel the next trip to Nashua. Will also stay at other Radisson's when possible. This was our first time at a Radisson. We had been traveling all week in differant chain hotels and this was the best one.

Great Entrance, rooms less so.

from Hottan
We stayed in two 2 day blocks in April.

Overall the frontage, entrance and booking in were as expected.

On stay one, the hand basin in the room was cracked and rusted, in all other respects the stay was fine.

On stay two, new room but guess what cracked basins again!! Also although hotel was only about 20% occupied they gave us a room on the floor where they changed all the room furniture all day long!

Overall view, great first impression with entrance and booking but both rooms we had looked and felt tired, great staff, nver used the dining facilities or spa so cannot comment on that. I have had less tired rooms in motel 6!

I would recommend looking at the room before paying the rate asked, to save disappointment

Enjoyed staying at the Radisson

The Radisson in Nashua NH was a great place to stay. The rooms were clean and up to date. We found the staff to be accomodating and helpful. If we are ever in the area again we would be happy to stay at the Rasisson again.

Very nice stay --

I was at the hotel for a four-day conference. Everything went well. My room was clean and spacious, with two comfortable chairs, a big table and desk chair for reading, and a good reading light, and front desk staff was always helpful. Two lunches were served to our group, a cold sandwich/salad buffet and a hot meal the next day; the food was good and a staff member was at the serving buffet both days to answer any dietary questions. I would certainly stay there again.

This Castle is awesome, just north of Boston and tons of fun area!

We stayed at the Radisson Nashua in January and were treated as if we were the only guests they had to take care of. We received excellent treatment from the time we checked in 4 hours early to the time we checked out about 5 hours late. The manager was great and knew how to give directions to everywhere we needed to go. They even made dinner reservations for us Saturday night before our show and had 2 glasses of champagne sent to the table. The rooms are huge, and the marble bathrooms are awesome. We were on the fourth floor so there was a duck pond view, andit was very quiet and we didn't even hear any noise from the anywhere below. I would reccommend this place to anyone. I will definitely stay there when I am back in New Hampshire or Boston! The summary is simple: Great hotel, great location central to so many activities. Very clean room and bath. Staff was very friendly, quick and attentive. Great service. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in possible stay. I don't believe it is a five star hotel by US standards or others perhaps, but it is a good strong 4* by Canadian standards. Would happily stay again and again!

Awesome hotel!

My husband and I had a few days off together and decided to take a shopping trip to New Hampshire. We picked the Radisson and were so glad we did. The first thing that we noticed was the hotel looks like a castle! The ambience is incredible. We were fortunate enough to come on a night that they had a managers reception, where we had a complimentary drink and snacks. We met Steve (the manager) and his executive assistance Patricia. We have never felt so welcome anywhere. They both spent time speaking to us.
All of the staff were so friendly, and the rooms were very compfortable and VERY clean (which makes all the difference to us!)
I would certainly recommend anyone to spend some time at this hotel.

Great Place for Leaf Peepers

from sweetkeys
This was a great find for two leaf peepers who needed an economical spot to use as a base for a couple of nights. My daughter lives in university housing in Cambridge, MA and I had flown in from Los Angeles. Boston is so amazingly expensive, so we were looking for alternatives north of the city to use as a base.

After browsing the internet for hotel options, I found this one with a two night leaf peeper package for $99 per night including breakfast. The hotel was so easy to find. My flight had been delayed due to weather and we didn't get to the hotel until 3:00 in the morning. The night clerk was very friendly and helpful, even at that hour. And our room was great. Breakfast was very good. We drove up into the White Mountains the next day and the hotel was a welcome sight after a full day of driving.

This is a lovely spot and I would definitely consider staying here again if I were in the area.
