Tuscany will make your life hell

Simply put, this is easily THE WORST hotel I've ever stayed at. They gave me problems from the minute I checked in, saying the rooms I booked through my reservation company were no longer available. I did not receive any notification to that end before I flew in from Minnesota. After saying they simply had no rooms, they somehow found me a room -- exact size I had booked. Afterwards, they sort things out with my reservation company, and tell me everything's fine. That was in May. It is now almost Christmas (yes, 7 months later) and they sneakily put a FAT charge on my credit card! I talk to the "auditing" people at Tuscany, who let me tell you, are far from easy to get a hold of. They claim that the RESERVATION COMPANY did not pay them. Even if that were true, the debt is owed by the reservation company, not me! I've paid my part! And it's unbelievable that they sure know that but are still willing to double-charge me. What kind of business is this?!?! If I buy a tire from a local tire shop, and the local tire shop owes the tire supplier money, you don't see the tire supplier coming to me to collect double money! And get this, instead of working with me, Tuscany tells me that I ought to call up the reservation company and convince them to credit me the money i paid SEVEN MONTHS AGO. It makes no sense to me why I have to go collect Tuscany's debt for them. And why is Tuscany charging me for those rooms, illegally!?!? It is also pretty scary that Tuscany keeps people's credit card numbers on file and then charges them with NO authorization, NO bill, NO notice at all. I would advise everyone to stay away from this hotel. Don't take the chance. I don't want ANYONE to go through what I'm going through now. A bad company like Tuscany should be not be in business.

We had a great time in Las Vegas. The walk to the strip is double but somewhat dangerous, as we were mugged. The Tuscany had good breakfast and great rooms!

We only stay at the Tuscany when traveling to Las Vegas. We first stayed here many years ago when our daughter was with a traveling soccer team and we had a tournament in Vegas. The team mom booked us there and we have stayed there ever since. The rooms are very spacious and clean. I love the fact that you don't have to walk a mile or two to your car or your room after a long day/night of fun. Also, it's awesome not to have to walk through a smokey casino to get to your room. The grounds are beautiful and it's a very quiet hotel. I feel safe walking on the grounds and the two pools are great.

Wonderfully Appointed

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tuscany in Las Vegas. Our room was very spacious and nicely decorated. The pool area was private and quiet and the rest of the grounds lush!! We did not spend much time in the casino....will next time! It seemed like a lot of fun!! The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. It was nice to be a short walk away from the 'hustle and bustle' of the strip so we could relax and not have to walk through a huge lobby to get anywhere!! Hope to stay there again soon!

Nice Business class hotel, when one is not looking for the 'strip' and all of the glamor and glitz, this would be an excellent choice of hotel. Close enough to the strip to walk, but far away enough to be quiet.

The Tuscany Suites & Casino in Las Vegas, NV is awesome. We stay here every year for our son's baseball tournament. The rooms are so big and nice and the price is very reasonable. (You can find a cheaper price on the internet for these rooms). We really love the little refrigerator and kitchen area. We would of liked a microwave. This is the only place we stay when we come to Las Vegas.

I travel quit frequently and have the ability to stay where ever I please. I stayed in the Tuscany Suites Hotel for the first time a couple of years ago and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were large, clean and accommodating. The exercise facility is second to none. I personally like the parking situation. I can park my car in front of my hotel suite and have access to it anytime without going through a large parking garage. I'm not a big gambler but, I have had more luck in the casino here than any other hotel casino. If I lose I'm not upset because I didn't have to spend a lot of money on my room. For the money, I honestly believe that the Tuscany Suites are the best value in all of Las Vegas.

We held our daughter's wedding in Las Vegas and a friend of ours suggested that we stay at the Tuscany Suites. We found the rooms to be spacious, nicely furnished and clean. The hotel is conveniently located to the Strip and inexpensive compared to most and it doesn't take forever to get to your room! The staff were all courteous and friendly. We loved the fact that all the rooms have a kitchenette. The lobby and cocktail lounge areas are very lovely and inviting. The prime rib at the restaurant was one of the best we've ever enjoyed and that says a lot coming from ex-restaurant owner's! The casino area is smaller than most but we enjoyed it just as much as anywhere else. We will stay at Tuscany Suites & Casino every chance we get in the future.

Tuscany is a great 35.00 Hotel

Unfortunately they charge considerably more than that. My room was $200.00 per night. Which wouldn't have been bad except that the mattress was saggy and the bathroom fans in the adjacent rooms were so loud it sounded like an airplane about to take off.

The noise is so bad that no matter how tired you are, when your neighbor wakes up to take a shower, you might as well do the same because there's no way to sleep peacefully once it starts. I was droned out of bed at 7 am sharp after only four hours of sleep.

My ground floor room had no screens on the windows. And according to the hotel, none of the rooms feature screens. Fresh air enters just fine. But if insects or something more menacing wants to enter your room, they do so unobstructed.

The manager of the Tuscany Suites Hotel was not in when I called the front desk to lodge a complaint. After my departure he did return my call but through his almost undecipherable accent could offer nothing more than a insincere apology.

The Manager felt that if I had a problem with the room I should have let the hotel know sooner. As if I was supposed to somehow know that I was going to have a noise problem before it happened. He did not offer to go to the room and actually listen to what his guests have to put up with.

This manager's attitude clearly conveyed that he did not believe I was being honest. He thought I was trying to scam the hotel by attempting to have them adjust my bill after the fact. I have no problem paying $200.00 dollars for a $200.00 room. But for a room in which sleep is not an option, this was not worth it.

More like a mile to the strip

Well, where do I start? The only really good thing to say about the hotel is that the rooms are huge and clean. We requested a crib before we arrived and there were none available upon check-in. We were promised one "first thing in the morning" and we had to call twice to ask for one and finally got a crib at 8:00 the next night. It is over a mile to the strip and they must contract out with a specific cab company because we never waited less than 45 minutes for a cab from the hotel. There weren't enough pool chairs to accomodate the guests. At least 20 people had to put towels down on the ground and around 5:00 the sprinklers came on soaking everyone. I would definitely spend the extra money to stay on the strip next time and avoid all the hassle.

This place was much more then I expected. The room was very large, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Small cooking area, table and chairs, couch and chair. I'm not a gambler but for anyone that is, the casino is small. The food was decent, no complaints there, good price too. If you don't mind being two long blocks from the strip. This is a great place to stay. Check in and out was quick and pain free. I would definitly stay here again and will recommend this to friends. For the price this place was excellent.

Wonderful new hotel 2 (long city) blocks from the strip. Very clean suite-style rooms with plenty enough space for 4 people. Staff were friendly and prompt enough. Grounds are well-kept and well-manicured, nice pool area, decor is quaint Tuscan. Try the Palazzo restaurant inside the hotel if you love Italian. All dishes we had were superb, unusual for Vegas/Casino/Hotel fare. Room prices were quite reasonable, especially with a convention in town (when DOESN'T Las Vegas have a convention?). Will book with them again.

I stayed in Vegas for two nights and just booked it off the net not really knowing where i was staying. I was very lucky because this hotel is only a ten minute walk from the centre of the strip which meant that my blisters were smaller than they could of been! The hotel is really clean and tidy and the rooms are huge. Check in was quick which is more than can be said for the airport terminal like queues in some of the strip hotels. The casino is a nice size, the food good and reasonably priced. If you don't mind not being in one of the big ones, then this is the place to stay.

We just got back from Las Vegas where we stayed at the Tuscany Hotel.
Our room was very big and clean. We had a view of a garden walkway and the next building. Which was ok. It was very quiet and the staff was nice. We didn't care for the casino though. The dealers were not friendly and so we walked over to the Flamingo and had a great time there. It is easy walking to different hotels and the cab's are always available if you want to go farther and it didn't cost that much to get around town. The door men were very helpful and friendly. The food in the cafe was very good. We didn't try the nicer restaurant. I loved their prime rib sandwich. And the cafe is open 24 hours. I would recommend this hotel to others. Oh, and plenty of towels and hot water.
Room service is slow and they didn't bring everything I had asked for.
But overall I would give the Tuscany a high score.

You can't beat the price! We paid under $60.00 for our room which was clean, spacious, and in excellent working order. Upon arrival, the front desk errored (saying they had only a room available for 3 of the 4 nights we booked), however they did overcome that obstacle. It is located a good hike from the strip, especially if you've been on your feet all day. We were able to take a bike taxi to the Tuscany from the strip. The pool and lobby are beautiful. If you don't compare to the super hotels on the strip, this is quite a nice hotel.

Stayed at the Tuscany June 2003. Enjoyed it so much we returned in September. The room was spacious and very clean. Never a wait for breakfast or lunch. Reasonably priced menu for dinner. My type of casino....not loud or congested...We will be back.

summer nightmare

Billing department is messed up, Any promotions needs to be check, otherwise they will be misleading.During Summer, They had ants, crawling on top of their kitchen counters, I called several times for maintanance but no luck, It took 6 hrs. before they can fix the problem. Still after a spray, Ants came back.Who would want to stay and sleep with ants, Not safe if you have children.I stayed recently August of 2003. When I complained with the manager, They can't help it, it is summer......

Great Room for the Price

I visited Tuscany with 2 friends over Labor Day weekend (2003). We are in grad school and were looking for a nice room on a budget (non-Strip prices during the holiday weekend). A friend had previously stayed at Tuscany and liked the room. Our room was basically a suite, though without any dividing wall--and fit the 3 of us perfectly. The bathroom was nice and had a separate shower and large tub, plus a huge full-length mirror that was helpful when we were getting dressed to go out. The closet was a bit small but we were only there for the weekend so we managed to make it work. We enjoyed the main restaurant, great service and good food. Our room was relatively quiet but then again we weren't in it all that often. The only downside? Because Tuscany is off the Strip there was sometimes a long wait to get a cab (they aren't just idling in front of the hotel). Plus, it's major cab fare to get to the clubs on the Strip. All in all though, Tuscany was great for the price.

Pity about the Fire Alarm

A good, new, clean, multicultural second division hotel located just off the main drag. Rooms are large - like a suite without the wall.
Pleasant staff, nice buffet breakfast.

Our trip was spoiled by someone setting of the fire alarm deliberately - at 3.45 am. Alarm did not stop for 45 minutes. Not the hotel's fault I suppose, except their security staff seemed slow to respond, but no appologies offered - no free meal - or free night offered to make up for a ruined day, due to lack of sleep, following the disturbance.

Arrived at hotel at 11.am and they would not let us in until 3pm - because they said the room was occupied - we found out later that it was not -as the room was so hot at 3pm that we could not cool it down in time for a compfortable night (outside temp was over 100 when we arrived)

Probably would not stay there again, but if you have a booking here already and are looking for guidance - I would probbly not cancel - try it for yourself

Top Local Tips for Las Vegas

great hoilday hoilday was great would go again also there is lots of malls to visit there also the duice bus that goes up and down the strip is worth getting a week or two weeks pass when you first get there we walked for first few day then had bad feet and legs from all the walking so stayed around pool then we got them tickets and was away up and down stipt it was easy and great they do get very bizzy thoght but it soon empty at same time

Great deal on the bus You can buy a $5.00 bus ticket that is good for 24 hours. This bus ticket is good on the double-decker Deuce bus on the the strip and on the side streets. We took the Deuce to the terminal and got another bus to the outlet mall. The drivers for the most part were informative, pleasant and fun.

Cabs The one thing we didn't factor in to our Vegas trip was the price of cabs. It was at least $15 to go almost anywhere becuase the traffic is so bad. The good cab drivers immediately get off the strip and take the side streets.
