| Happy Honeymooners! |
| The Tropicana more than met our needs and expectations during our Valentine's Day 2004 wedding. With so many new luxury hotels jockeying for patronage along the Strip, there seems to be an overwhelming desire to stay at the most opulent establishment. To me, Vegas is best experienced in small doses. I like the legendary flavor of the "Rat Pack" era. I want to gamble and see as much as I can realistically appreciate in 3 or 4 days. Unless I plan on NEVER leaving my hotel or hotel room, I can't justify the 300 dollars a night price tag attached to so many of the "new luxury hotels" on the Strip. The Tropicana provided my husband and me and our wedding guests (16 in all) with all of the attention we would expect, on this special occasion. The hotel itself may be "old school", but it continues to hold its own amidst all the glitz and glamour of the Strip. The decor may be dated, but is that really an overall concern? Our room was exceptionally appointed--a jacuzzi suite with a fabulous view! Perfect for honeymoon intimacy as well as a reception with family and friends. We had a poolside ceremony. Very NICE!! Even with hundreds of other weddings taking place (it WAS Feb. 14th in Las Vegas!), the Tropicana's attention to detail made us feel as if our wedding was the only one that mattered! It was more extraordinary than my husband, myself, and our guests ever imagined--and we all commented to that effect!
I would do it all again and not change a thing!
