Was not the Best!
This was my fourth year going to Vegas, but my first year on the strip. The past three years we have stayed on Fremont Street. I guess we got spoiled with the charm of the old Hotels, because I was very disappointed in TI. When we went to check in we were told by the bell desk to go to the invited check in line, because we had booked a room package that said on the website "INVITED CHECK IN". We were helped by a very unfriendly women who after she check us in told us we were in the wrong line. She also failed to check us both in on the room so when I had recieved a very important fax guest service did not know what to do with it. Our room was cheap looking and dirty. There had to be an inch of dust on the tv cabinet and black marks on all the furniture plus the floor. I did however like the strip view. It could have been better if there was not construction going on across the street, but that was in no way the fault of TI. I do have to give them kudos on the pool area. I thought the shape of the pool made it very easy to sit and relax all day without feeling crowded in. It was also very nice that it didn't matter what time of day you went to the pool, because you always had sun. They could have had a few more waitress around to take your drink orders, but it was nice to be able to go to the pool side bar instead of going inside. I guess that would have been the best part of the hotel for us was the pool. As for the food at TI: Dishes the buffet their Sunday Brunch was very over priced for the food that was offered. The Coffee Shop was nice, the wait staff friendly and the prices were reasonable. We did not try the Deli or Steak house because they semed a little to high priced. I know TI is not the worst hotel in Vegas, but we will NOT be returning there next May!
