Humiliated by staff
My wife & I plus several friends have frequented this Hotel many times over the years & have been very happy with the services provided there.
Unfortunately our last visit was next to ruined by a little incident that never should have occurred.
While gambling on a slot machine at the bar I accidently threw away a winning hand by failing to hold my winning cards. I admit that it was not the brightest thing to do I mentioned to a friend what I had done in a joking manner as the amount was not very significant.
One of the bartenders overheard the conversation & indicated that they could call someone to check the history & "possibly" get back my credits.
Being only $15.00 it did not seem to be a big deal but he was already calling someone to check it out.
First a lady came over & I explained what happenned & she said that I should not drink while gambling but I had only been there a short time after driving five hours & consumming only a couple of drinks. She also said that poker was not my game.
Then another lady came over who seemed to be her supervisor & when hearing about the ordeal told me that if I was too STUPID to hold my cards it was my problem & there was nothing she could do about it.
I had just showed up to the casino for a three day stay to hear someone call me stupid as I spend my hard earned money at an establishment that I had always been happy with & would still be.
If I was her boss she would have been reprimanded on the spot as my job is in customer service & words like that are not acceptable!!
As a long time customer of Terribles with a lot of great memories it is unfortunate that one incident like this can change my future plans as a loyal customer to your fine establishment.
That word she said rang through my head all three days & my wife, friends & people in the vicinity of the ordeal were as shocked as myself.
I never had the intention to recover the money in the first place. It was only the choice of verbage that marred my stay.
Thanks for listening!
