Fall is best in Las Vegas The weather is in the 80's through October. You can still go to the pool, AND not roast! Everything relaxes a bit, and you'll get happier locals to serve you. Plan a hike at Red Rock or go out to Hoover Dam to enjoy the weather. Have fun eating outside at Margaritaville or Mon Amis Gabi on the Strip. You'll even enjoy walking outside from hotel to hotel! Avoid summer - it's 115 and relentless!

Taxis all the way If you are staying on the strip or even near it, there is no need to rent a car unless you plan on doing some exploring outside of the main area. Taxis are more than reasonable, and most of the time, you walk around to see everything.
