Worst Restaurant in Vegas!!!!
The Stratosphere Restaurant was the worst food we've eaten in a long long time!!! We were told to wear smart clothes, so we got all dressed up, looking forward to a nice meal. The restuarant was impressive and the service was excellent, it was just the most disgusting food we'd ever eaten!! It was supposed to be posh al a carte food but was something you'd expect to find in a grubby english pub. We barely ate a thing and was extremelly disapointed with it. I certainly would not recommend anyone going there to eat!!!

Don't EVER stay here!
The Stratosphere hotel ruined our Las Vegas trip in so many ways. My wife and I had booked and planned our trip 5 months in advance, with the primary focus on seeing Barry Manilow at the Hilton (my wife is a HUGE fan and the reason we waited 5 months was so that I could get her the best seats, which turned out to be 2nd row center). Needless to say she was as excited as a little child on Christmas morning during the 5 month waiting time! Now, let me break down this horrible place by category for easier reading...
CHECK IN PROCESS - We arrived at the Stratosphere hotel on Thursday afternoon and we had to wait 40 MINUTES in line at the registration desk due to the fact that they had only 3 clerks, and what made things worse was they would help anyone who just walked up and skipped the line. After about 10 minutes I was fuming and decided to just walk up myself, and was promptly told to get back in line since I wasn't checking out or switching rooms, or that I wasn't a gold card membe...Read more

Excellent
My husband and I stayed at your hotel in October of 2005. This was the first time we went to Las Vegas and we had a wonderful time. Your hotel is very clean and the service was great. All your employees are very friendly. We went to the buffet at the courtyard and it was the best buffet we ever had, all the food choices were perfect. The bed and pillows were very comfortable; the room was spotless and always came back to a clean room. The over all view of the hotel was EXCELLENT. The only thing that I wish could of happen on our vacation was to win some money on the slots, we thought the slots were very tight, you couldn't win anything to play on a slot more then 15 minutes, other then the slots, the rest was wonderful and we will be back someday.

Disappointed
I stayed at the stratosphere during the week of august 14-19th 2005. The decor was good but I was quite disappointed in the arrangements of the hotel. First of all I am pretty sure casinos have a way of strategically placing items the way they do to get the people down into the casino to spend spend spend. Understandable! However I did not find any common courtesies which I believe should be there for the paying customer. There was no ice machine on the third floor which we stayed on and you had to visit a separate floor in order to get some which made it inconvenient for us. Secondly when you wake up in the moring after playing for hours and hours in the casino at night--it would have been a great courtesy to find an electric coffee machine in the room with complimentary packets of coffee so a person could wake up before showering, getting dressed, then head down to the casino. Thirdly I was forced to pay upon checkout a $ 25.00 fee on my bill for something I did not want to particip...Read more

Excellent low cost hotel
My husband and I stayed here for a week in January 2005. It cost £200 for the week in a very clean comfortable room. The hotel situation, at the north of the strip, meant a ride on the trolley bus which picked up outside the back of the hotel. The staff were all friendly, the buffet was nothing spectacular, but good value and always fresh, with a good selection. Lunch in the restaurant at the top of the tower was great, wonderful views, but the best bit for me was Roxys Diner, lots of food, prompt friendly service and so much fun to have the staff singing as you eat.
