I give Sam's Town a solid "8" out of ten in it's resort class. I don't expect it to be the Belagio and it isn't, of course. Instead, Sam's is a friendly, clean, fun place offering big value for the money. The rooms are recently remodeled and very nice. (ask for a room up high with a Strip view in the distance - nice) We rent a car so it's only a short trip to the Strip if that's what we want to do. Otherwise, we're happy to hang at Sam's Town, particularly in the evening following a full day of sightseeing or Strip crawling. There are some decent restaurants here. We've always enjoyed the steaks at Billy Bobs. The indoor atrium and park area is very nice and the evening laser show is a must-see. Oh, and the casino is quite large with everything you could want including lots of VP. All in all Sam's is a great value. We've stayed at many mid-priced Strip hotels and I can tell you the remodeled rooms at Sam's are nicer than many of those. Nice people at Sam's also.
