| So VERY not impressed |
| I was disappointed. I booked online and it was farther from the strip than I had anticipated, (my problem not theirs). Shuttle service to/from the airport and the Strip was OK but the hours, especially near lunchtime, were inconvenient. I found the food in all of the restaurants to be just so-so, and these weren't the low-end buffet either.
A casino dealer was unnecessarily rude for no good reason - she started saying insulting things about me to the only other player at the table right in front of me! Strange since I hadn't done or said anything offensive, (I'm pretty quiet so I had hardly said a word), but I was winning. I got up and left the table and didn't spend another dime in their casino for the entire rest of my stay.
The ethernet cable in the room was broken and after about 45 minutes on the phone with four different people I finally got somebody who sounded like he knew something about computers and networks. I ended up doing a temporary fix myself, (removed a faulty ethernet extension after getting the OK from the Tech guy), and they said they'd send somebody to replace the bad part. The phone cord was also stuck under the bed so it didn't reach beyond the nightstand, in particular I couldn't use the phone while I was on the computer which was VERY inconvenient when I was trying to troubleshoot their computer problem; work on computer, run to phone with tech guy, back to computer to try his next suggestion, back to phone, computer, phone, etc... It's silly to have a computer cable, especially for business travellers, that can't reach the phone.
When I complained about the problems to the front desk the 1st guy seemed simply hostile at first, as if he took it personally, then he seemed just amused by my complaints. The 2nd person (a lady manager) was much more sympathetic at least but still nothing changed.
Unfortunately I was booked for several more days in the hotel so I slept there but I gambled, ate, and entertained myself elsewhere.
A few of the hotel employees were polite and helpful but still I doubt I'd ever stay there again and I visit Vegas fairly regularly.
Note: I've visited several casinos all over the US and several outside of the US over the last 25+ years. Vegas is the ONLY place where I've encounted rude casino personel. Maybe it's just a Vegas thing - they know that no matter what they say or do Vegas will still get visitors by the hundreds of thousands.
