Days Inn Las Vegas was not so bad but the neighborhood (downtown) is, well, the pits... liquor stores, prostitutes, beggars... I didn't feel safe there. The hotel room was extremely dark, but otherwise, not bad.

Tipping anyone in Las Vegas When you go LAS VEGAS there are different "rule's of thumb " for tip's. 1st of all TIPS AS MUCH AS YOU WANT! Some employees live on TIP'S. When they bring your bags up from VALET at a hotel $5 is good, thats a lot of work and if you have a lot of bags maybe you should tip more. Drink servers $1 each drink is cool, Taxi stands $1-$3. Taxi Driver $3-$5 but when your in back ask the driver for any "good places" you should go to. Valet, ok here is a good one! You tip $5-$10 and they will park you car UP FRONT and you get VIP service! VERY NICE! Tip's at a "CLUB" (gentlemen or otherwise) will get walked to a your own table. VERY COOL! Plan on "tipping" when you go to Las Vegas. That is one thing that most people don't equate into the cost of the trip. The more you TIP the more VIP treatment you get. Thats a no brainer. comfortable shoes when going to las vegas, if you plan to see the sights on the strip, bring comfortable shoes. the best way to see the sights is to walk down the strip so you can go in and out of the resort casinos
