I stayed at the Luxor over the weekend in July with three 20 year olds and we were all very dissapointed. First, the room carpet, tables and chairs were stained, dirty and just overall worn out, TV didn't work properly, the view from our 17th floor room looked down upon a mess of wires and the casino floor was under construction, dusty and very cold. The pool area was a little better until they blasted the music (louder does not make it better). If you are trying to cater to the younger 20-30 year set, that's fine, but when I have two 20 year olds (who are dancers and also act and do musical theater) who thought the loud music was so tacky and their ears where ringing for the next 12 hours it times to go to another hotel. They charge too much and offer very litte. All this for $275 for a Saturday night. Only thing good was their food.

This is a terrible place to stay. The construction noise and smells were awful, our room was unclean and the staff was totally unhelpful. For the price we paid, we should have had a MUCH better experience - their customer service folks just told us we should have seen what it looked like a few years ago and that they were renovating. Excuse me, but how is that my problem? Terrible experience.

The Luxor used to be a grand and pristine place to vacation, but we found that maintenance has gone the way of the dodo. The outside of the door to our room and many others was discustingly filthy, and the floors in the hallways were littered and unkempt. Construction noise was dominant all day long, and the dust and dirt was tracked everywhere. The wait to register was over 30 minutes! The pool was very nice, and the restaurants were good as well. Consider another location unless you don't mind the noise, dirt and poor maintenance.

I was suprised that a hotel like this would be so unclean. The room hadn't been properly vaccuumed in a while and the hallway was litered with garbage, including garbage from the guest rooms. It's unfortunate that the Luxor doesn't provide an e-mail address since I would prefer to send this to them rather than post it here.

We checked in at 2:00PM and headed to the Lunch-Buffet. My fiance had stomac poisoning for the next 4 days...we spent it in the room with little help from the hotel. Buying meds in the convenience store was a rip-off. They got us sick and then charged crazy prices for meds.
We received lots of lip service from their Risk Managers but no follow up. It was a terrible experience and I'm happy to say that with so many other hotel casino's in Las Vegas, I wont have to stay there again....BEWARE OF THIS PLACE
