Don't stay in room 1970. The bathtub was all rusted while the water has been running for quite some time. The water had rust coming from it as well.

Las Vegas Hilton - great improvements!

I have stayed at the Hilton numerous times, but during my January '06 stay, I saw numerous improvements. The new owners are doing a multi-million dollar remodelling which is nearing completion. All items completed, in my opinion, are well done. Beautiful flooring has been installed, the bar area in the casino has been redone - it was badly needed - the old configuration was in the way of traffic flow, and the old breakfast/bagel, etc. place is getting redone as well.

I have always found the rooms comfortable at the Hilton - I stayed in the North tower, although it was almost in the Central tower - just a few rooms down the hall. With its Trefoil design, location of your room is very important - good location depends on floor, tower, etc - central tower is one just off lobby, with north entrance nearest garage and main self parking. East tower is on the end near the sports book - have never stayed in that section.

I stayed on a great rate through, of all things, continentalvacations.com - less than $50 a night - and much to my surprise, they gave me a coupon at check in for a $25 promotional chip.

Ate at Garden of the Dragon during my stay and enjoyed it thoroughly - although priced a bit above most Chinese restaurants, the food is always most enjoyable here.

The Hilton is located on Paradise Rd., just a LONG block east of the strip at Riviera Blvd. It is right on the Monorail - the stop is right in front, not far away like at some stops. I always rent a car when in Vegas, and find that the Hilton is a great location for me to scoot up and down Paradise, coming up from behind to my destinations on the Strip.

I would recommend it to anyone.

My stay at the Las Vegas Hilton was very enjoyable and the rates were very reasonable. My luck at the tables was not very good though. I have stayed at many hotels in Vegas and the Hilton rates as a return visit.

The Las Vegas Hilton is a quite and nice hotel, but is in need of a fresher atmosphere, and perhaps also a renovation. Service is good, and the rooms are clean.

This place was excelent. Huge room with excelent views. Just 2 blocks from the center strip! Good service, cheap and good buffets, Large pool and good quiet casino.

Nice, big, clean rooms and plenty of slots to play in the casino. This was my 2nd time at the Hilton and I'm sure I'll stay there again. The best thing was that, when I got horrible blisters on my feet, I called the front desk, and they sent band-aids up to my room. I really thought I would have to walk to a gift shop and pay $5 per band-aid or something, so it was a nice surprise.

We had a fantastic stay here in July this year.The room was stunning with great views. Not a complaint about anything in the room. Very comfy beds.The service excellent - eg: room service, breakfast all great.I suppose the only thing was that a bit far from the strip - but to you the truth it did not worry me too much as the hotel was so nice in all aspects.One other thing was we arrived at the Hilton late at night (after10pm) and we called the front desk to find out about a grand canyon triop the next day - you would think they would know SOMETHING since it is Las Vegas and the grand canyon is one of the biggest tourist attractions!! Alas, the guy knew nothing but did not really try and assist uas and direct us on what to do..that was a bit hard as because of time we HAD to do the trip the nest day.I would stay here again - as everything else was great.

We stayed at the Las Vegas Hilton in July. The service was poor from management, restaurants, bell hop etc. This was the worst experience that I have every had from a Hotel in my life. Lines were long and usually only contained one person working there. Pool was beautiful, but the floor was very slippery. I saw 4 people slip trying to walk around. Don't reccommend this hotel to anyone.

My visit was 4th of July weekend 2003. My friends and I stayed 3 nights. First, we were put on the 2nd floor with the employees, with people trying to open our door all night long. We were then put on the 12th floor in a room which smelt like sewer. Finally after 3 hours, we were put in a decent room. I guess sitting in the hallway waiting, beats the long check in line. There was no help with our luggage between transfers. The staff is NOT customer service oriented. To try and lift our spirits, we went to the buffett for dinner. We were seated, and proceeded to eat. We were called out in fron of everyone in line by a woman "Lisa" (unfornuately management) who screamed out "H E L L O O O!" we turned around, and she yelled who let you in? We pointed to the poor elderly waitress, and she proceded to yell at her. We did write a formal complaint explaining our concerns. Not to mention the last weekend in June 2003 I was a guest there, and there was no hot water on check out day, among other things. It was too late to cancel my reservation for the 4th. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, and belive me I will be spreading the word.

Superior Stay

I cannot say enough good things about the LV Hilton. The staff cannot be touched for superior service - not a bad apple in the group.

The rooms are a nice size, well furnished and well kept. Tthe pool area is a real oasis. The casino is easy to walk around in and there is a variety of food types and prices to choose from and enjoy. The only con is that the hotel is off Strip and not convenient to most of the typical action one comes to Vegas to see. However, its a cheap cab ride to all of that craziness and there is a monorail being built that serves this hotel.

I highly recommend the LV Hilton for superior service at a great rate.
It can't be beat.

The Las Vegas Hilton offers an outstanding value. The room we stayed in was very large and clean. A roll-away bed was provided to us at no extra charge and the food (room service) was great! Compared to other hotels in LV an extremly good value!

Loved the sightseeing and the casinos- the strip was great- even in the
heat. Take the Effiel Tower and bring a camera- it's quite a view. Our
trip due to our plane, shuttle and hotel choices was a disaster. We
chose Northwest. Planes were delayed coming and going, arrived in Vegas
at 1:30 AM. It was hurry up and wait for hours in both directions. Paid
over 600 each for the mid week trip from Baltimore. We reserved a
no-smoking room at the Hilton and was given a smoking. Too tired at
that hour to care, my husband went right to bed and to sleep. I went to
shower and discovered the room had no water (just air from the pipes
and toilet wouldn't flush). This was corrected the next morning. Our
room was very lovely and had a lovely view but it was filthy- the night
tables and table at the window had sticky rings from the last tenants
drinks and there was a stick of incense sticking out from the TV
cabinet at eye level. During our stay, maids did clean our room and
kept it clean but a room service tray from another room stayed in the
hall with food and garbage on it for two days (same food, same
garbage). The hallway smelled of stale smoke and other people's food.
We were placed in the North tower- if you must stay at the Hilton-the
other wings might be a better choice or maybe the flamingo. The mid
week hotel desk staff who are female need training in customer
relations and good old fashioned manners ( the men were very polite and
helpful without exception), the casino staff (of course) treated us
like gold. The service when in the casino or stores was totally
different than when planning a tour or trying to get problems resolved.
I never did see anyone at the pool ( it was grab your own towels all
week)- I didn't try the spa but since you pay for that I'm sure service
was different. The recommended shuttle service requires alot of waiting
and travel back to the airport for your return flight has two pick up
times a day -on their schedule not yours- passenger safety is your
concern - not the drivers- who will pull off before you sit down- this
happened on three different rides and a woman did fall on one. Take
cabs if you can. For the airport shuttle, we were told we had to be
outside the hotel and waiting for pickup at 9:45AM for our 1:30 flight.
The next bus was at 2:30 PM. They had two pick-ups only. The shuttle
didn't come until 10:30. The temperature was 103 while we sat outside
waiting for 45 minutes. There were groups of people sitting and waiting
at all the outdoor "shuttle" stops so we were'nt alone. We had already
learned that if you waited inside the glass doors (in the AC) they just
drove by and left you. So-We planned, paid, stayed and, having been
treated better in COMP rooms at the Atlantic City Hilton, we will limit
our casino trips to the East coast Hilton and just enjoy other
attractions when out west. Vegas obviously has such a draw it doesn't
have to "serve" it's customers on any level . Lesson learned. By the
way- I tried the Park Place Entertainment Hilton web site to give them
this feed back rather than share it here- can't do it- you can only
make reservations. Interesting. The desk staff didn't ask how my stay
was. They were so rude, I just didn't bother. What would they offer- a
free stay??? NO THANKS.

Good Value at the Hilton

Stayed at the Hilton 5/21-5/24. Nice big room for $49 per night. Only complaint is that if you get a room facing the pool side of the hotel, there is continuous droning noise from outside that is loud and pretty annoying. Wasn't sure if it was noise from planes approaching/leaving the airport, or if it was the air conditioning units on the roof of the Convention Center next door. Other than that, this is a really nice place to stay if you can get a good room rate.

Although it was a little inconvenient being off the strip, it was very comfortable at the Hilton. The rooms were large, and were so inexpensive that we were able to put our many children in one room and had peace and quiet in another. I liked the free self park, and the general atmosphere was sane and pleasant. The non-smoking floor was almost entirely smoke-free. No problems--we were very pleased.

Monorail System Easy access from the hotel and the monorail takes you to all Vegas locations.

Don't rent a car in Vegas It is much easier to use taxis or the monorail. You don't need a car unless you are planning to leave the strip area several times.
