don't stay at the mega-reseorts We entered 8 of the mega-resorts from wynn, Bellagio, Ventian, Mandalay Bay, etc and I would recommend not staying at any of them. Valet parking takes 10-20 minutes for pickup, taxi wait time is about the same and reception is a large noisy area - often near the gambling tables.If you like crowds and noise and like coming out of the pool with your kids and walking through hundreds of gawkers and gamblers - then stay at a mega-casino. If not, try one of the smaller off strip places.

Las Vegas 'cross town' driving Desert Inn is a wide street which runs East/West from Summerlin/Lakes area to the Convention Center and allows avoidance of busy Sahara and Tropicana Blvds.

dining choices many other choices besides the casinos for a great meal and relativly inexpensive.
