They don't Care!

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days / 4 nights.
1. They didn't care about my being very sick and gave me a room next to the club with loud music. When asked to be moved they never called back or even helped me.
2. The glass in the bathroom had a woman's lipstick smear across it. That means the glasses was never washed. What else did they not clean?
3. The internet took over three hours of my time with a repairman in the room. What a waste of time.

They never helped me with any of these problems.

Don't stay at Harrah's!

Worst experience ever - staff STEAL your PASSPORT

Passport stolen from room by hotel cleaning staff, need I say more?

Passport was locked inside the safe, came back to find it gone. Hotel staff was NOT helpful, they only insisted I had misplaced it. Offered no compensation or support, even hesitated to let me use their phone to call the embassy. Needless to say, it turns up in the cleaning ladies cart. Pressed charges and got the hell out of there!!!!! Will never return, and will never ever recommend this place to others.

Never trust them with your valuables, they are most likely all in on a scam to steal their guests identity.

Great Service & Staff-comfotable rooms

Have stayed at Harrahs when it was still the Holiday Inn in 1982. Became a frequent visitor and only became a rewards member at the urging of one of the dealers. Occasionally stayed elsewhere because they were booked but mainly gambled there. The staff and service I have always found to be the best. I will adimit reward points harder to get here as well as everywhere else. But would dispute reviews I have read about horrible expierence with either rooms or service. It can't be in 25 years of staying there I was the exception. I strongly recommend Harrah's for an enjoyable stay and for their great customer service. I am sure you will have a great stay!!

Overall, Harrah's/Las Vegas was really enjoyable. Every member of the hotel staff was exrememly pleasant and very helpful during my 5 nights stay there. The rooms were very nice and affordable. I know I'll be back next year!

A truly fun place

First time stay at Harrahs - and we will be back.
The rooms were great - the restaurants were great - especially the Oyster Bar - the Range Steak House - etc. Entertainment endless - Dueling Piano's - didn't miss a night - shows good - and Carnival Bar fun - don't have to go anywhere else.

Harrah's on the Strip in Las Vegas is affordable with a great location. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated with all the ammenities. THe location is the best feature. Also the Asian restaurant downstairs is one of the best meals I have ever had. Pricey but very delicious.

harrahs is really a great place to stay in vegas, right in the middle of the strip, the food in the hotel very good.

A nice place to stay

We stayed at Harrah's in mid-July, 2003 (I wouldn't recommend GOING to Vegas in July... it was beyond HOT with temps averaging 114). The hotel and casino was nicely decorated, very clean. Comfortable room with a good-sized bathroom and adequate storage space. TV channels were very sparse. The pool and pool area is WAY too small for the number of guests it needs to accomodate. If you don't arrive at the pool right when it opens, good luck finding a lounge chair. Also, the music is blasting at the pool area, making conversation difficult. Slots were pretty tight. This resort is in an excellent location on the strip, so access to other hotels/casinos is superb.

Better than I anticipated

I didn't know what to expect after reading some of the reviews posted here. This was our third trip to Vegas and am glad to say we were very pleasantly suprised by the excellent experience we had at Harrah's. Our room was clean, spacious and tastefully appointed. The restaurants and buffets were excellent, particularly their Asia Restaurant. It received the "best of Las Vegas" award and rightly deserves it. The hotel staff was really polite and appreciative. I am a real stickler for customer service so I don't say this lightly! I know that things do go wrong sometimes. The computer system went down while we were there and people had to wait in long lines to get checked in, they are probably not happy with Harrah's but that is for them to write about. I loved Harrah's and will return.

Overcharged and Rude

Everything about my experience at Harrah's was terrible. The staff was rude and they overcharged my credit card on the rates quoted. I called up the GM and wrote a letter and I got a letter back basically telling me that they could over charge my credit card because I used their mini bar. I NEVER used their mini bar. They need to get their inventory straight. I STRONGLY reccommend not staying at Harrahs.

This was my first trip to Vegas, and I loved it! The rooms were large with huge bathrooms. Wonderful view of the strip. The staff was GREAT, especially our chambermaid - VERY attentive to our schedule and needs.
WHEN I go back, hopefully Harrah's will have rooms available!

This place far exceeded my expectations! The staff was amazing, any of them would go out of their way to help you. When we got there we asked for a room upgrade and they gave us one at no charge........the rooms are great. The casino is very nice, and the dealers are the friendliest that we encountered on our trip.

I can't say anything bad about this place and will definitely be staying there again.

The skintight show there is pretty good too!

This was our 1st time to Las Vegas. We booked and paid for the room in advance. Once we got there they noticed we were fully pre-paid, and couldn't comp us any of our stay, so they upgraded us to a suite. I did mention that it was out 1st time and we were on our anniversary (who knows if it helped).

The casino was the most active one our all the different ones we toured. The place was absolutely fun and lively.

We would recommend using the trolley system for only $1.65 and the free shuttle to the RIO.

GREAT TIME... we will be back.

Well, after reading some of the reviews here, I was skeptical about Harrah's. However, my husband and I went for my birthday, and it was fantastic! The staff was excellent. We had booked through Expedia, gotten a great rate, and then they upgraded us to the newer tower at the hotel for free, just because we asked! I couldn't have enjoyed Harrah's any better, it surpassed every expectation I had.

GO TO THE CARNIVAL BAR!

The Carnival Bar @ Harrah's is THE BEST BAR in Las Vegas! It is one of the only outdoor bars in LV. I have been to LV more than 10 times and look forward to that place everytime I am out there. They have the greatest bands there and they have flair bartenders. Flair bartenders is when they throw bottles and cups and liquor and make drinks in crazy ways. They are so much fun. There is a guy named ??? I cant remember! But it is three letters and he has an accent. He is the best flair bartender in the world. He won a bunch of competitions and contests. It is really fun and everyone should try to check it out. It is between Harrah's and the Imperial Palace (outside). You cant miss it, usually the music is pumping and you can hear everyone having a great time. Have fun! Oh, and remember, if you are from NY, get used to going out at 8 pm and having last call at 1 am.

Third year in a row at Harrah's and going back again. Nice rooms, friendly efficient staff, good food, fun casino and great location. Use the slot card for comps. Had coupon for 4 free nights and earned enough points for a comp of the other 3 nights plus food comps. We like it at Harrah's and will be there soon .

Top Local Tips for Las Vegas

Favorite Casinos Planet Hollywood, Paris, Venetian, Rio, Caesar's Palace, and The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino are my faves. Most of these have high casino ceilings that disperse smoke, play classic rock music, and are either fun, trendy, or lively!

do not take taxis so expensive, use monorail whenever possible

Player cards Sign up for a player's card at every casino that you're planning on gambling in for more than a few hours. Then use the card! Tables or slots---build up those points---you're already paying to play, you may as well get something out of it. What they don't tell you is that at the end of the stay you can use those credits towards your room bill, including any meal charges, etc. If you only gamble a couple of hundred dollars it may not be worth it but if you're dropping more than that over a period of a few days you can build up quite a few credits. Read the back of the card and see which casinos are connected and use the same card at those casinos---for example--Ballys, Caesars, Harrah's, Flamingo, Horseshoe, Rio, Paris all use same card,
