Top Local Tips for Las Vegas

Dinner menu The Hampton offers "Order Inn" with a wide selection of treats available (I think) 24hrs. On my check in, the smell of fresh baked pizza wafting over from a guests' order was quite tempting. For the most filling plate of jumbo scallops, try AquaKnox at The Venetian. The portion looks small, but is amazingly filling and flavorful!

Silverton Resort Buffet Check out this casino's buffet! The food was OUTSTANDING! Not 5 star cuisine, but better than many quality restaurants I have been to. Lunch is a better deal than dinner because if you eat a late enough lunch you won't need dinner, but we went for dinner and were very pleasantly surprised! They also have a Bass Pro Shop and a huge aquarium, which are both worth seeing!

shopping and nightlife Be prepared to be overwhelmed by the sheer scale of everything. Mega hotels with literally thousnads of guests. People everywhere and slot machines everywhere. Vegas is to be taken in small doses ( a weeekend break).shopping is great but don't be fooled by the claims of the outlet malls- went to the one after the end of the strip ( beyond Mandalay Bay Hotel) and it was not at all impressive- only worth buying shoes there.
