HOTEL CLOSED!!!!!!!
And it should be! After checking in and putting our bag in we went to see the sights. We get back at 3 am and there is a line of guests at the elevator! Well the one they still had working wasn't and they didn't know what was wrong! The stairs were locked so we couldn't use the stairs. After waiting almost 45 min they finally unlocked the stairs so that we could go up. During that 45 min we were informed that the hotel was closing the next day 3-12-2007. A murder had happened there on Friday night 3-9-2007. Over 85% of the hotel had CLOSED signs on the doors due to health code violations! If we would have checked the hotel BEFORE checking in we would have forced them to find us another hotel. This kind of thing should not be let happen. The notices from Las Vegas Health Dept. were dated 1-30-2007! So why were they allowed to continue normal buisness? And it should be! Very Friendly Staff
This hotel represented excellent value for money - the staff were friendly, courteous and extremely helpful, the room was large and clean and the location was only a short walk from some of the major casinos - definitely prepared to stay here again.

watch out for the crack dealers
The pictures look nothing like the place. I was shocked, slumming it doesn't even describe the experience. I would actually like my money back. There was no hot water, no coffee maker, no iron, nothing that they advertise. The walk that they tell you to make to get to the strip is awful, I thought I was going to get mugged. What a crock of BS the advertising is for this hell hole.

Cleanest hotel in Vegas that we have stay in
My husband and I have visited Vegas at least twice a year for the last three years. And we have stayed at the Golden Palm 3 times. We never have to worry about paying high rates for a room. The rooms have always been super clean. And the service is fantastic! Looking forward to staying there this spring, fall and for New Years!

You get what you pay for
I think that for the money spent on the room it was well worth teh price. If you are travelling to vegas on a budget and you do not expect the Bellagio then it was fine. If you are a person who expects a grand hotel and wonderful gaming then this is not for you. Young people who don't mind taking a walk to the strip would love this place because of the price difference from staying one block from teh strip to staying on it. It was a typical room with nothing fancy at all. I went there and took a shower and a nap.
