Monorail The monorail doesn't get to the airport yet. If you need a round trip for $5/trip, you might as well get a 24-hr pass for $12/day. These prices were obtained buying the monorail passes from the hotel concierge. I am told this cost less than buying the monorail tickets from the automated machines.

Shopping on the Strip We found shopping on the Strip (Fashion Show Mall) more expensive than similar stores on Maryland Boulevard. The Boulevard Mall is no more than 2 miles from the Strip and has many of the same stores as the Fashion Show Mall (FSM). Prices for identical items were definitely discounted more than on the Strip. It's woth the taxi fare if you are doing significant amounts of shopping.
