I had booked two rooms, on for my parents and one for my siblings. One of the rooms were cleaned but the second wasn't. It was almost as if the previous guests had just checked out five minutes before we'd arrived. Empty cups with liquid still inside were thrown about. The trash cans were full. The towels were wet. It was all around horrible. When I called in to complain I was not greeted apologetically. It was a non chalant "we'll call house keeping...". House keeping came a good hour later. This was just one event out of many that caused a not so pleasant stay.

Nice Clean, Tidy, Functional Hotel - its really a place to get you head down in between all the sightseeing and shopping. We loved it so much we booked again when we got back. My brother and his wife go every year and my mum and dad do the same with their friends. They have been going to the same hotel for the last 8 years so it must be good. Food and Service Excellent and lots to do for the kids providing they aren't too small. Didn't have much noise from other guests so all in all a great place to visit and stay.

Maybe we were just unlucky. The room was nice enough, the food very good if you got there at the right time and didn't have to queue for too long. Our neighbours were very loud and boisterous, which is fine, they were on holiday, but the walls were so thin that we could hear every word/shriek/snore. Also we were on a side of the hotel above the funfair, which meant we also had the constant buzzing of the generators.

Circus?? More like a ZOO!

from A TripAdvisor Member
This was our first trip to Las Vegas. True, we made some mistakes from the start. First, we made reservations for the Labor Day vacation in early August...we overpaid by a LOOOO-OOOONG shot. Second, we are a childless couple not particularly fond of "other people's children". They run AMUCK here! We should have seen this coming like a slap in the face (ie. it's affordable, child-themed, etc.) However, the rooms were icky -- poorly decorated. It was hard to find food and activities late at night (aside from gambling). The hotel was antiquated and, even though it was booked to capacity, it seemed eerily empty on the floors. And the pools -- HA! I'd rather swim in New York's East River. And the clown TV reporter that kept annoying us on the TV -- yowsers! The staff is unfriendly and most speak English as a second, third, fourth, etc. language. Therefore, finding directions or help of any kind is not easy. Worst of all is the location -- it's too far from the newer and funner hotels. We've since been back to Vegas and stayed at the MGM Grand. Wow, it was like Eutopia.Circus Circus is not that bad if you're on a strict budget and have kids. And the pizza parlor has out of this world pizza....despite our unpleasant accomodations from our first trip, we still wound our way back there the second time to snag a pizza from the parlor. The steak house is also very good. I highly recommend both.Big tip -- use valet parking at all the hotels. It's usually free (except for the optional gratuity -- which I once paid with nickels from my winnings at the nickel slots). It will save you a lot of shoe leather and hassle trying to manipulate the maze they call self-parking. Have fun and GOOOOOOD luck!

Nice Hotel

from A TripAdvisor Member
We stayed at Circus Circus in May 03, It was a very busy hotel, but was very clean and had lovely rooms, especially for the cheap rate that we paid - Be sure to join their email service from there web/home page, we got our accomodation for $34 US per night. The hotel was at the beginning of the Vegas strip, so if you have plans for a walk to see the other major hotels, dont bother jump on a bus instead, the walk is exhausting - Trust me!!!!

Loved the Circus Circus atmosphere

from sas401
What a great hotel! We have just returned from a stay in las vegas spending one night in circus circus and one in treasure island. I would definatly return to either hotel but would favour circus circus mainly for its value for money and its fantastic atmosphere. It is more suited as a family hotel and not for the serious bucks gambler. Casinos were not intimidating (like some that I went in) and slots were kind to us. They hold circus acts every 45 minutes every day and there is a huge adventure dome with roller coaster and water ride. We had a skyrise room (recommended for the extra few bucks) and was very nicely decorated and beds were comfortable. Ate in the buffet restaurant for dinner and breakfast and was amazed by the choice and quality of the food for the price we paid. Would certianly return to this hotel with no hesitation.

s a Circus!

If you are on a budget and/or have children in tow, this might be a nice option. But even at the low price (there are better deals around), it still has some things working against it. I'll start with the room location. If you are lucky (or unlucky) enough to stay in the Manor rooms, you are in for quite a bit of walking. The Manor rooms are nothing more than motel buildings located at the rear of the main casino and towers. This place is in major need of a make-over. The room we had was very basic with one King Size bed and round table and chair and TV on a dresser. We didn't go to Vegas for the room, but some creature comforts would be a nice touch. As for the casino, it's kind of busy and the floors are always crowded. This place is located on the far north side of the strip so it doesn't have all the glitz and excitement you envision, which is found further down south (if you are walking, bring some good soft supporting shoes if you plan on making the hike down to the better parts. If your trip to Vegas is just a few buddies looking for a place to crash for the night, this might be a good choice. But if you are looking for a comfortable enjoyable trip, I would look else where. Do some research and I'm sure you'll find better places to stay, closer to the action of the Strip and for the same price range. Oh, and don't even bother with the food in this place.

Reasonable accommodation

We were booked here as part of our coach tour. Our keys were ready for us when we arrived so had no problems checking in. Our biggest problem was finding our way around the maze of buildings. Two members of our tour got lost twice. It is not a user friendly hotel at all.The rooms were clean but there was not coffee maker in the room.

Circus Circus is just for kids

from A TripAdvisor Member
Circus Circus is only fun for the kids. Too many people. We stayed in the Manor, the rooms weren't bad, but the hallways were dirty. If you win a jackpot, don't count on getting paid for at least 1 hour after the jackpot has been won. There are not a lot of slot floor people working. The slot people are not as friendly as other hotel/casinos.

t waste your money

This hotel has things going for it if you are just visiting during the day or something, but staying there is horrible. First off, the tower itself was booked, so they put us in a manor room, which was really far from the actual hotel. I think it was manor "F", which means that we had to WALK past manors "A" through "B", which was really strenuous. There was a shuttle that was supposed to take us to our room, but it was never operating. Further, the maids wouldn't give us soap or shampoo, so we had to go buy them at a store. Then for meals, we had to walk all the way back again to the tower, which was another grueling walk, and with little kids, that is NOT fun. However, the tower itself is really fun, and the floor with the actual circus is really cool. If you want a fun place to visit, go to the Circus Circus, but if you want to save a dollar and stay at a nice hotel, go to the Tropicana!

Good Value but...

from A TripAdvisor Member
As others have commented, there's too many children. Lobby and hallways desperately need a facelift. Big crowds in the hallways all day. The hotel is so big and spread out that going back to your room if you forgot something can be a 10-15 minute expedition. The tower I stayed in had what looked like recently renovated rooms which were quite nice for the price; rooms in older parts of the hotel appear to be more run down. The worst is the hotel's location; it's a long walk to see the more interesting attractions at the other end of the strip (Treasure Island, Bellagio Fountain, etc.) (take the city bus so you're not tired by the time you get there). If you're the kind of tourist that wants to save money and just needs a good bed and a shower and spends all day outside sightseeing, this hotel is probably fine. The "circus" acts and carnival games/amusements are like any ol' county fair, no need to go to Vegas to just see that. Restaurants are terrible, the buffet is college cafeteria quality if not worse, and overpriced. There is no comfortable lounge or bar for adults to hang out in the evening and have a drink without ringing slot machines nearby (gotta take a break from that sometimes). There is no nightclub either so after a long day/evening of sightseeing and walking around all there is to do is sit in your room and watch TV or go walk back to the interesting part of the strip if you want to go dancing, bar hopping or see a show.

beatles LOVE AN ABSOLUTE MUST SEE IS BEATLES LOVE AT MIRAGE, IT WILL TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY.

DONT STAY AT CIRCUS CIRCUS DO NOT STAY THERE!!!

Dining places Dining, We would highly recommend the $11.99 Prime Rib Dinner at the Circus Circus Casino Cafe. Great meal. We also ate at Margaritaville and enjoyed the meal. The nachos are huge. The Hard Rock Cafe is also a good place to eat as the meal was good, but kinda pricey. Attractions, Be sure to see the fountain show at the Bellagio, free show at Treasure Island and be sure to get out to Fremont Street. We also took a trip to Hoover Dam it is very amazing.
