A Great Place for Lunch - Cypress Street Marketplace

from A TripAdvisor Member
Husband and myself had lunch July 21st at the Cypress Street Marketplace inside Caesars Palace. It was wonderful. When you enter a hostess gives each person a plastic card. You then can go around to the different food stations and get whatever you want. You hand over your card and they scan it. When you leave you simply hand cashier your cards and pay once. It was nice to be able to eat soup (lobster chowder in bread bowl 6.95), decide I was still hungrey and return for a sandwich (lobster roll 12.95). My husband had a huge turkey sandwich on 7 grain bread (7.95). Each of the sandwiches came with a pile of fries.
The total with tax and sodas came to $32.55.

We had a hard time choosing what to eat. There were kiosks for pizza, asian, coffee, bbq, sandwiches, seafood, salad and mexican. It was a unique and tasty dining experience in the middle of a casino.

We had stayed at the Frontier on out way thru to la and on wht way back we decided to treat our selves to waht wer had been told was one of the better! haha, the porter brigning up our luggage was on his way up 3x over a 45 minutes, tried to give me the wrong baggage, the tub did not hold water, the tub jets were broken, the john ran on and off by its selve, thats just the bathroom.. We had driven 600 miles to get to las vegas and this is the room we got. When i went to the casino floor and askd the staff one or 2 questions they gave me starnge looks when i askd them to repeat them selves.. sorry about my loss of hearing people loud music is harmful to your hearing.. when not if but when i go back out guess which i am not styaing at.

We stayed in the Centurion Tower, over looking the Bellagio. The rooms were extremely nice and clean, and loved the bathrooms. All those mirrors, we are soo vain! I went with my three girlfriends, we had a blast. We drove from Los Angeles, and arrived at 3ish, but didn't get our rooms till 5. Which we were not that pleased about, cos we spent the time gambling and lost some dosh!!! We were upgraded to a nicer suite as well, so that was good. Anyways I really enjoyed the stay, Caesar was perfected located in the heart of the LV strip! We went to see the Bellagio fountains every night, and stayed for every performance. It was beautiful! The Forum Shops were sooo beautiful, it was the indoor outdoor thing. The shops were good, plenty of good designer stores like Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Dior, and much more. We ate in the cool japanese restaurant, which was nice!! And the pools were excellent, the staff were ever soo nice to us. Hence all this, there was building work going on when I was there. There was some manky view of construction work, (not soo nice men working) from our hotel room.
But overall... it was very nice. Would stay there again, but probably get a nicer suite. Hope you guys enjoy ur stay!!!

Not bad except for check in.

My wife and I just went to Caesars for our anniversary and had a nice time. We don't gamble much, but found that with the shows, gret food and shopping it was a fun trip. We stayed in Caesars "Roman Tower" which is the old tower, but found the room rennovations were great, no complaints about our large room. We also loved the pool.

My biggest complaint was the check-in process which took nearly an hour. The line was huge and there were only three agents! I asked the bellman and he said the line was usually much longer. When we got to the front finally, the agent took about 15 minutes of checking to find a clean room. She was not even willing to upgrade us becasue it was sold out that weekend. Once we got passed that rediculous process we had annice weekend.

Another Terrific stay at Caesars!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Caesar's Palace. We were planning to attend the same conference again and was getting ready to make our reservations when the day before a marketing rep named Edwin contacted us in regards to special promotions for June and July. His offer was better than our convention rate with one night comped. When we arrived at 2pm, we were greeted buy the bell hop to take our bags which we declined. He went on to inform us that check in was not until 3pm and that it may be easier for him to hold our bags until then. We again declined and went in to register. We were able to get our room early with an upgrade to a mini suite due to us making the reservations through marketing department. We stayed in the Roman Towers and the room was nice and big with a separate shower and jacuzzi tub and a king size bed. The only complaint we had was apparently they do not book this room out very much as the shower was disgusting with mold overgrowth. The rest of the room was clean. We called housekeeping to complain and they said they would send someone up. We went to a late lunch and returned to a still moldy shower. It had been cleaned a little but still had a lot of mold. We called housekeeping again and the housekeeper and housekeeping manager both came up and cleaned it with bleach. It came clean and we were satisfied. The hotel ended up comping us $100 towards any food and beverage we charged to our room.
We attended a convention and the convention facilities were terrific.
All the accomdations were great the pool, forum shops, cypress cafe and casino was very clean. The only thing I didn't like was the table minimums were high for low rollers. But had a great selection on slots.
We saw "An Evening at La Cage" at the Riviera. Great Show. Last year saw "O" at Bellagio, terrific show. And took a GRand Canyon Tour bus, which was long but had a great time. Overall, I would recommend Caesar's Palace as a great place to stay and centrally located on the strip. Will return again!

Awesome Visit!

My wife and I attended a conference May 17 - 21, 2003. We stayed in Caesars Palace at an upgraded suite room in the new Palace Tower. We were a little disappointed with the accommodations since we expected opulent (for $275 a night), but perhaps our expectations were too high. I brought it up with the front desk but they honestly said they don't want guests staying in the rooms, but he was surprised that we were disappointed. Oh well. The staff was great and very attentive despite the fact that the hotel was sold-out. We played for hours at video poker and actually hit a $4K jackpot on a $50 bet-- thankfully it was late the night before we left so we went home with some winnings! We were unable to get tickets for Celine, but did see Blue Man Group and highly recommend the trip. The show was very similar to the NY production, but there was a huge drum wall and a larger band at Luxor. We also saw Steve Wyrick (magician) at Sahara and had a good time on half-price tickets. We had a friend with connections at House of Blues Foundation Room and had a great view of the strip. I overpaid for a cigar but hey-- you only live once! Highly recommend dinner at Emeril's Fish House (MGM). I didn't pay so I enjoyed the dinner that much more! Dinner at Lawry's (the season salt people) was excellent and reasonable. I had the bowl-cut prime-rib and barely had room for my two lobster tails. I was in Atkins Diet Heaven. Finally, we had lunch at the Stratosphere before we left and loved it. The "Tower Experience" selection was a great choice at $22.50 and included salad, a large portion of prime-rib and an awesome petit four dessert. Security was tight at the Stratosphere and in the airport, but we think it was because the security level was increased during the week we were in Vegas. Finally, I won (or tied) seven straight hands of Baccarat at the Flamingo and highly-recommend the game to any gambling novice who wants to play a table game. But don't forget to tip the dealers when you win! We hope we get somFour and a half days were enough for us. The only regret was our inability to get tickets to Celine. Enjoy your trip!

Seize Caesars

from A TripAdvisor Member
We stayed at Caesars over the Easter holiday. Our check-in was not smoothe. We arrived tired and hot to a moderate wait at the lobby. Our room was not ready and it was after 4:00 pm local time. We had booked a spa room over the Internet and they offered us a downgrade to a deluxe room for a $20 a night lower charge. When we insisted on a room with a jacuzzi our check-in assistant secured an upgrade to an executive suite. We did have to cruise the casino while waiting for that room to be prepped, but the upgrade was worth it. The room was wonderfully appointed. The view was not great but the reclusiveness of the Forum tower was welcome respite from the hyper-stimulation that is Vegas. We loved the Forum shops, brunch at Cafe Lago (our best meal in Vegas and we ate at the "Top of the World" in the Stratosphere), and the pools even though one was closed. When I gambled I was promptly offered a free drink; I was not offered anything at MGM Grand, Mirage, or Treasure Island. We did not think the Mirage buffet was worth the wait or the price. All in all, we felt that Caesars was classy in decor, in service, in cleanliness, and in clientelle. It was a great deal and a great trip. There were some problems at check in, but nevertheless I would say Seize Caesars.

Loved Las Vegas

We had a fabulous time! The staff at Caesar's treated me like royalty from the time I entered and until I checked out and I am a low roller (5 cent slot machines only!). The decor was gorgeous! The bell hop was up within 7 minutes of the call to the desk. Repair for the toilet was up within 5 minutes.....Housekeeping was friendly and helpful. Food at Cage Lago wonderful! We attended 3 show within 4 days all with the help of the services from Caesar's. The shows were fabulous (Jubilee at Bally's, Cicus de Soliel at Treasure Island and Rita Rudner at New York). Bellagio's fountain show runs every 15mins. It is free and wonderful. It is a different tune/show each time. Most restuarants assume 1 bill per table, so make sure you let them know before ordering.

Cheese pizza, anyone?

I was expecting a fabulous Vegas vacation...but instead got a horrible low-rate experience that even a hobo would pass up! The check-in was bad (it lasted 33 minutes because of little staff). Once getting to our room, we were surprised with 4 unfamiliar suitcases sitting on our bed. We called the front desk, they apologized and then sent OURS up (after an hour of waiting). My fiance and I went out for the evening then. When we came back, we were exhausted and headed to bed. When I lifted up our covers, I found a dead fly and about 7 cigarette burns in the sheet. Then, at about 3:30 a.m., there was a tremendous crash outside our door which was then followed with the loud screaming of heavy Spanish. I called front desk (again), if they could send security up to take care of this problem (the people wouldn't stop screaming). I think we both finally got to bed at about 6 a.m. after THAT ordeal. In the morning, I reached outside our door for our newspaper. Covered in the hallway, there was a large mess of (what I thought) cheese pizza...along with the box and all. We complained to the front desk about this disgusting mess and stormed out to get breakfast elsewhere. Apon our return at noon, the pizza mess was STILL sitting there.Well, more disasterous things happened during our stay there...but I'm afaid I'll stop it at that! DISGUSTING! NEVER WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN!
