The Bellagio is beautiful, and has great service. But, as I had my ipod taken from our room, I would advise being very careful and keeping valuables in the safe, particularly at this hotel.

Superb managerial treatment

My wife and I checked into Bellagio for a two-night stay after four nights at the Venetian. Not everything was 'right' with the reservation upon our room assignment and as Ms. Poole very capably assessed and exercised managerial skills that completely satisfying us. Because of her hands-on intervention, our Bellagio stay became even more memorable than that at the 5-Star Venetian Hotel.

This was exactly the type of detail-to-service we had heard the Bellagio provides. We firmly believe its staff is fortunate in having Ms. Poole as an active and effective manager.

Went there before going to Hawaii and didn't have much time, but what time we did have was fantastic. Good room, food was good, staff pleasant, best hotel I've ever stayed in. Only dissapointment was the glass tacky flowers in the foyer ceiling, loved the fountain show viva las vegas.

Stayed there for our silver wedding, room was great very clean one of the nicest I have stayed in. Room service was very good, great pools and the buffet breakfast was good with a lot to choose from. The hotel was in a good location and would love to stay there again one day.

I always wanted to go to Vegas and when we did, I wasn't disappointed, the room we stayed in at the Fantastic Bellagio was wonderful and we had a view of the spectacular water display they have every night. My wife Fran and our friends look forward to going back someday soon. Thank you to everyone @ The Bellagio

Greatest location, cleanest, luxe details yet can be casual in fine atmosphere. Unique foods & can eat for less in many of their hotel restaurants, cafes. Don't be shy & just ask & you get whatever service, room views, changes or things you want. International & all age guests. Can
seem crowded on weekends or with gawkers but thats fun of Vegas. Hotel large enough to handle.
Large casino with newest & all money level slots & games, newest machines. Join Players club, rack
up points & turn in for cash back or discounts.
Big luxe rooms, sink in beds,baths. Do mini services at spa or salon. Great pool, shops &
shows to see. Coffee & ice cream shops for eat in
or take out breakfasts, lunches, even lite dinners. Almost hidden snack place by Sports Book. Search or ask & you'll find what you want for your particular budget. Rates vary so check everywhere before booking. Only place to stay.

Poor Service

Had to call room service to clean my room since no one had been there by 4 pm. Bathroom was not as clean as previous visit 4 years ago. Discontinued giving nuts in the lounge.
Definitely NOT worth the price.

Not worth to stay!

Online reserved 3 days and paid a room one month ahead for $300 a day, when check in found out walk in only charge $199 a day. They won't reimburse the different to me, when I said cancel the room then register again; they said cancel room need 48 hrs ahead, even told me some people even paid more than me! They are thieves! Room size even smaller than Aladdin hotel.

Firstly an excellent location in the middle of the strip. Fortuantely we were upgraded to a suite which was fantastic. The staff were very friendly, and polite. The room was fairly modern and clean. The features were just what you would expect from a 4 star hotel, bose stereo in room, electric curtains, spa bath, and steam shower. Plus a well stocked mini bar. My only complaint was we only stayed for 2 days and all the restaurants were booked full so we weren't able to sample the fine cuisine except by calling room service.

A stunning hotel in a stunning setting, excellent value for money (try comparing it to London!!) Beautiful, a grown up luxury hotel, in a fantasy land called Las Vegas!

As a regular visitor to Las Vegas i stayed here in Jan '03 with a work convention, whilst the hotel is plush and big I found that where they were lacking in style and panache they made up for it in size and expense. The place is literally one massive money machine it is designed to do everything possible to wring every last penny from your pocket - the food and drink is overpriced, it's hard to find any $10 tables, the shows and night club whilst good are massively overpriced for what you get - $121 for 'O'! Personally I got sick of it after the mandatory 4 days and went to the Venetian which is always dependable.

In December 2002, I was at the Bellagio for three nights. The hotel is huge (3,000) rooms and the lobby area goes on forever. The casino is big and the slots pay out frequently and with big numbers. If you like to play slots, don't go anywhere else. They also are generous with excellent quality drinks... anything you want. We toured EVERY hotel on the strip and nothing else even comes close to the Bellagio. We ate most of our meals there and the food was excellent... we ate at Olives (best tortelli I ever had), Cafe Bellagio (great breakfast), Palio (great to go breakfast), Fontana bar (nice bar snacks), and a to go place that I can't recall the name of... when I go back, and it's the Bellagio that makes me want to return to Vegas, I will try the Buffet (huge lines but if you're a hotel guest you get into a VIP line). The rooms were very nice, huge marble bathroom. The only things I noticed were that the carpets seemed a big worn and the towels too. Room service was great, twice a day. We didn't get a lake view room but we could see part of the strip from our room. Hallways are very long. The pool area was nice but we couldn't enjoy that because it was winter. On a closing note, I don't think it's fair for people to give the hotel a negative review (overall) because something bad happened. They don't say anything about the hotel itself which is too bad. Trust me, there is no better place in Vegas to stay... everything is right there. Vegas standards are not standards you would find in big city hotels... it's a glorified Disneyland... five stars by Vegas standards and about 4 stars by overall hotel standards. Hope that makes sense and if you've been to Vegas you probably know what I mean!

Great Rooms at the Bellagio

Just spent three nights at the Bellagio on the strip in Las Vegas. The location is perfect, and the rooms are plush and comfortable. Forget upgrading to the rooms with larger bathrooms, and ask instead for a standard room on the front side of the hotel, overlooking the fountains and the Eiffel Tower at the Paris hotel (just across the street).

Just come back from getting married in Las Vegas, stayed at the Bellagio, when we arrived we were greeted in the lobby by a very helpful young lady who showed us where to check in, we explained that we were getting married, and were upgraded to a fantastic mini suite on with views of the fountains and as we were on the corner beautiful views of the rest of the strip. We had a jacuzzi bath and shower and a huge bed!! Everything was perfect, the hotel is beautiful, how much marble! Everyone was very helpful and friendly, the casino was great and very good with us beginners. If we ever get the chance to go back (I hope we do as I managed to delete all our photos from our digital camera) then we will definately go back to the Bellagio. (oh and they gave us vouchers to get free Bellagio perfume and Aftershave worth over $50 because we were getting married)

The Bellagio is such an experience I can't begin to describe. The rooms are spacious and comfy with great views of the Strip......and the fountains. My favorite touch was the fountain channel on the TV's that plays the music along with the synchronated outside display. I loved sitting up watching them from my window. The bathrooms are beautiful, but the rooms aren't what makes the hotel great. Their restaurants, Picasso and Le Cirque namely had some of the most amazing food, and offered a great dining experience. The stores, of course, were classy and fantastic. The lobby ceiling sculpture is both unique and stunning and the botanical gardens are the best part with their picturesque design and unforgettable aroma. Everything about the Bellagio is great, from the gelatto shop to the sprawling outdoor pool complex with private cabanas. The best thing, I think, is O, the Cirque Du Soleil show housed there. O and Mystere at Treasure Island my my main reason for coming to Vegas and boy did it ever make the trip worth it. I saw both shows twice. O is the most visually stunning thing I have ever seen and is definatly the not to be missed show in Vegas....at the most not to be missed hotel.

Classiest Hotel in Vegas

We stayed three nights at the Bellagio in the Week before christmas (2002)This is apparently a relatively slow time in vegas so we were able to upgrade to a Bellagio suite for an extra $100 a night The suite was spectacular! We had three bathrooms, four color TV's, (two were in the bathrooms) among many other amenities. The mini bar was always well stocked and we also had our own mini-fridge so we could buy our own soda and liquor to keep in the room--a real money saver! The cleaning service was great, they even replaced our bathmats daily--We stayed on the top floor and never heard another guest or outside noises from our room. I would definetely recommend getting a fountain view room--they are more expensive but we had a back view room and there really wasn't much to look at. The service from all the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a lot of fun there. Some of the restaurants are a bit pricey, however. If you go to buffet go during brunch/lunch it is about $10 cheaper and excellent. They had a HUGE selection included a great variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, juices, seafood, breads, pizzas, sushi, omelets, and fresh carved meats. And they have the most exquisite deserts! WE went around 1:00 and didn't wait in line at all. The conservatory is pretty, but not very big. The casino is in fact very pleasant and cozy--to keep you in there longer-- Another good thing is kids are not allowed in this casino--a major plus! With so much excessive and tackiness in vegas, it was nice to for us to come back at night to the elegance and class that was the bellagio

Good for Las Vegas

Just spent 5 days at Bellagio, and it is the best hotel I've seen in Las Vegas. I've been to much nicer hotels with better service in other cities and elsewhere in the world, but in the context of the City of Las Vegas this was pretty nice. The casual eateries were better than most hotel places of comparison and were only slightly overpriced. We ate dinner at Jasmine, Prime, Aqua and Picasso. All very good, and all very expensive. Picasso was our favorite. The food, service, decor, ambiance, and view of the fountains were impeccable! I spent every morning in the gym followed by a spa treatment. Both facilities were clean and well equipped. Most of the staff were very friendly and professional. The last morning I went to the gallery which had a fascinating exhibit of Faberge pieces, and did a little shopping. I'm not a big shopper, but I did enjoy the variety of shops and again, the professional service. We had a lakeside room with an awesome view of the fountain show which I never tired of. The bathroom was large, but only had a single sink, hardly any counter space, and no shelves to help keep clutter down aroiund the sink. The best thing about the bathroom was the deep soaking tub. The decor was very tasteful and calm (i.e. no loud prints thank goodness). I was annoyed, however, at hearing the voice mail alarm on my neighbors cell phone almost every day! Better soundproofing would've been nice. Oh yeah, Cirque de Soleil's show, "O," was fantastique!

AMAZING - From the lobby filled with the beautiful flowers to the 7 amazing pools lined with roses & statues!! Just Unbelievable! We spent our Honeymoon here in 9/02 - and am I glad we did! This place is by far the most beautiful hotel on the strip! The staff were friendly! I wouldn't gamble here - unless you are a high roller - just because the tables have high minimums, and you don't see too many people on the cash out lines... but that is ok - there are plenty of other casinos to gamble at - my favorite for winning is the X-Calibur! But I wouldn't stay anywhere else - the pool girls are wonderful - they bring you drinks all day while you lounge by on of their seven pools - but get there early to get a good seat! It is worth every dime! I can't wait to go back!! The Buffet is amazing as well, and the cafe is very good too and both are worth their waits!

A Truly Outstanding Hotel

Spent a week at the Bellagio over Christmas and were absolutely delighted with the property! We had a Bellagio Suite which had 4 TV's, 3 bathrooms and a living/dining room. Although we were not facing the lake we had a fabulous view of Caesar's Palace, The Strip and the mountains. The room had tons of amenities, was impeccably maintained, as was the entire hotel, and all the staff were extremely courteous and helpful. We had a small issue with the limo service which was resolved quickly and completely and exceeding my expectations in the resolution. The Christams decorations were very beautiful and many people came to see them, which caused so much congestion in the conservatory, that it was difficult to get to the Cafe Bellagio and the other shops.

The food was excellent at Cafe Bellagio and Noodles. The food was pricey but not anymore so than any other hotel restaurants on the Strip. Not the place to go if you are on a budget or are travelling with small children. The Buffet had raised the prices for the holidays to $34.00 and included champagne - many unusual selections however a buffet is still a buffet and was ok but not outstanding for the price.

Overall it was an extraordinary hotel that exceeds customer expectations.

Stayed at Bellagio in December 2002.
Pros:
1) beautiful pool, lobby, conservatory.
2) very nice, LARGE bathroom in suites!
3) VIEW OF FOUNTAINS FROM OUR LAKE FRONT ROOM WAS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!

Cons:
1) Overpriced--I've definitely stayed in better suites for the money
2) Buffet and all cafe's/restaurants on property are very expensive and in our oppinion also not worth the price. (add LOOOOONG line for buffet)
3) Service friendly but not excellent--called front desk on 3 separate occasions--nobody ever picked up!!! Not a big deal, but not a 5-star service

Top Local Tips for Las Vegas

Beware! We got ripped off on the way to the hotel. Don't tell the cabbie it is your first time to Vegas. Sound confident because we got taken for double what the fare should have been. Paid nearly 30 when it should be around 15 dollars.

Tribute to Neil Diamond The Riviera has a Neil Diamond review with Jay White looking and singing like Neil. It's a small venue with reasonably priced drinks and a good view of the performer and his back-up. The crowd was a mix of young and older Diamond fans and Jay got the crowd going early in his performance. A great back-up band. Half price tickets are easy to get and the show is well worth the 90 minutes.
