I come into Las Vegas from the Laughlin area so I stay if there is a special event as the Gift or Fabric conventions.
I stay at the Fiesta as it is handy, the parking is good and rooms are nice.
You have some of the best rates in town.
I also eat there when I am coming to town and not staying all night. You have a great buffet that is reasonably priced. Several times I have eaten there with a group of friends or family.
Of course I always do some gambling.

The Strip You are about 15 minutes from the casino action in Las Vegas without having to deal with the crowds and traffic of being on the strip.
Local Casino Food When staying away from the strip try the local casino resturant you will be suprised how good the food is also the cost is verrrrry reasonable
Mt. Charleston If your going to Henderson Nevada in the hot months of summer remember to visit Mt. Charleston. Alot cooler, hiking, and beautiful views. We have a 3 and 7 year old and we all enjoyed it. Bring a spray bottle with you - it's hot in June, July and August.
