Rental Car Price Differences We originally were going to stop in West Glacier, and tour Glacier NP and the Canadian Rockies from there, but then we checked out the car rental prices! There was a major difference in car prices from Hertz. Hundreds of dollars! We were coming in on the train, and both Hertz locations met you at the train station, which is very convenient, but the West Glacier location was way more expensive! Check into it before you settle on a pick up point for your rental car.

terrific service from a rental car business -- Dollar! Choose Dollar rent a car if you can. I have never taken the time to recommend a rental car company until we chose Dollar rent a car, located north of Glacier National Park Airport (AKA Kaliispell Airport). We changed car rental companies after discovering that the company we initially chose gave out car seat on a first come, first serve basis. When it comes to our children's safety, that policy does not work! I called Dollar Rent a Car just a few weeks prior to our July '08 trip and they were able to accommodate us. They gave us a better price, charged us for only one booster seat though we were actually renting two, and made the pick-up and drop-off process easy! They brought the rental car to our hotel and let us drop off the rental car at the train station. The paperwork process was fast and easy.
