This pretty little log motel is in on the edge of a tiny town and staffed by very friendly folks. The rooms are clean and roomy; quilts on the beds, tongue and groove panelling on the walls. Only fishermen and other outdoorsmen seem to know this place even exists. No air conditioning or swimming pool, but there's great views and an occasional cattle drive going through town. Trout fishing on the Big Hole River and all the pleasures of the Beaverhead National Forest are within walking distance. If you're looking for the basic comforts in an out-of-the-way corner of Montana, this place is it.
