Top Local Tips for East Glacier Park
Huckleberries Definitely try the local huckleberry treats: jams, pies, chocolates, coffee. There's even a beer slightly flavored with the berry.
Red Jammer Bus is a wonderful way to see the park But be sure you know to bring your passport if you are doing the Waterton/Glacier Peace Park -- that you will pay for the park entrance fee of $24 pp/ and that if you do the Waterton/Glacier Peace Park tour the Canadian Park authorities charge extra for that as well. We loved seeing the park on the bus and our driver for the second day on the Going to the Sun Highway was wonderful. Park officials are especially friendly and very accomodating.
Take the Shuttle! Take the shuttle when traveling on Going to the Sun Road...almost all parking spots were taken and we had to skip several great views because we were unable to stop!
